Hail Thor-show thy might, Let thunder roar and lightning strike! Hurl thy hammer into the fray, And let thine enemies know fear this day!

Probably better known in Australia, this is a band called Virgin Black (gothic/doom/black/symphonic metal), last album released was "Requiem - Fortissimo" in 2008, this one is "Sombre Romantic" from 2000:

that last vid hes got a looper which will basically records what he sings then loops it live by pushing a start/stop button so you can build up layers and then do other stuff on top of it. Forgive the bad recording.

+1 for Jamie Woon - Night Air is one of my all-time favourite songs :-)

I'd like to add Wendy McNeill. We have a small venue that does a lot of indie concerts. Saw an ad in the local paper describing her style as "carnival punk" :-D

Ask me no Questions

Intrigued, I went and it was one of the most awesome concert experiences of my life. Great music and quirky/funny/amazing story telling.

E.g. a song (based on a true story), told from the point of view of the accordion:

In Bocca Al Lupo

"Even the best accordion can't save an unlucky man."

Diamante - Bite Your Kiss

New Years Day - Defame Me

Icon For Hire - Pop Culture

Are a few of the ones that I have found over the past year that I haven't heard on radio here.
Please contact support@grindinggear.com if you need any assistance.
Jean Luc Ponty has always been a favorite of mine, and have all of his albums. A fantastic electric violin player, he makes some amazing songs. Here's two albums that I particularly enjoy, but you can't go wrong with anything of his:

Mystical Adventures - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_s7P11NHRk
Cosmic Messenger - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePMhJio8zT4

Also, popular jazz band, or rather, popular in the right places, but people around here probably never heard of them. Known as 'The Rippingtons'...here's a few of their albums/songs that I can listen to all the time:

Live In L.A. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLlHJ9_SsCo&list=PL_8SuYrul2V37bKiGSirutmNphvR6iIfC
Tourist In Paradise - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znjGqqKbTcw
St. Tropez - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deWWByzqlnE

Search around YouTube and you can find the rest of their stuff as well as stuff from JLP. Excellent music that I highly recommend.
