Bearers do elemental damage, not physical. So armor is useless there. A pack of them going off simultaneously will hit hard (one to a few hits aren't too hard). With 4k HP (yes, even with max resists) they can and will kill you. That's WHY there's a delay before they explode - you're meant to notice the (big and clear) visual effect and get the heck out of there before it goes off.
Has the Spirit Guard issue been fixed yet? Works with dexterity instead of intelligence the way it is supposed to?
