DPS 150-600K Cons Cant do hardest maps in game Core, Uber and Colosseum. We simply do not have EHP to take the hits those boss put out nor DPS to kill them before they start laying us out. About how DPS works with Blade Vortex from Syclic " My Base Conc DPS w/ lvl 18 gem 16,419 x 2 x .17 cast time x 50 blades = 279,123 DPS  There are two builds one with power charge one without The with power charge is 25% more DPS but about 200 less life and less evasion and wears a volls protector The other uses a carcass jack (or tabula rasa/rare if you're broke) Carcass jack spec most tank more aoe. Word about gear -Life everywhere possible -Tabula Rasa works fine just no power charges so leave them off tree -Crit rings and ammy - if you cant afford crit implicit look up just resits, and life jewelry cheap -Double life belt -Ideally you want evasion gloves and helm to get high evasion. -Two cheap Divinarius daggers are fine or one and Cybils Paw for super hard content END game gear Gem Setup

Charge up to 20-30 blades and Whirl Blade into packs for constant fortify buff. Spam main spell while in the pack so you have blades for next pack. You can Hit Abyssal Cry at the same time you're holding down Blade Vortex button and watch mobs explode. It's a sight to see. Move fast and keep your blades up pack to pack.
On bosses. Charge up to at least 40 before encounter and pop you life flask to regain life you just spent. Whirl Blade into him and keep spamming all the way up to 50 until dead Hybrid Option Best of both worlds awesome AOE mapper with BladeFall and devastating boss killer with Blade Vortex.

So after watching your video I don't think that we can just multiply TT by number of active blades. I think 400k-500k DPS would be killing the boss a little bit faster. It might be time for some good ole spreadsheeting.
Then I'm thinking since this is a phys build, you would benefit greatly from Hatred, Herald of Ash, Atziri's Promise, and Taste of Hate. This basically leads to a tree like Ghudda's lowlife flask build. He gets 260k dps with EK and 4 or 5 uses out of taste of hate before refilling. That might be something to consider. If you don't go LL, or the goal is budget, you might be able to get cheap survivability by going life+ES hybrid, since you're already in witch+shadow. I honestly don't think 4.8k life is enough anymore. All my builds /view-thread/1430399

I'm running Hatred and will slot promise...no need for movespeed flask since I don't walk anywhere with 10 MS boots and use Whirling Blades all the time. I have about 5K life and ~700 ES with a carcass which I am trying to buy with right colors but no one was online when I threw this together. total 5700-5800 EHP when done. I tested with my old carcass which I'm not about to change colors. was hard to roll... The hybrid version I worked on misses out on the duration nodes south of Scion. It's definitely doable though but shield for that fat ES is almost required to get into 8-9K total EHP. Then you have the 35% hit on Discipline so you're not running a DPS aura...basically two major DPS hits.... " HoA can't apply curses, and the overkill doesn't proc with spells. I would only use it in a lowlife build. In order to get both sets of skill duration as a life+es hybrid it's a bit more efficient to start as scion than anything else. All my builds /view-thread/1430399

The tooltip DPS on blade vortex is a huge chunk of misinformation. The tooltip DPS it shows assumes that you are hitting once with each blade and constantly casting.
To get your actual DPS you need to multiply your DPS by your Cast Time on the tooltip, then multiply by 2. This is because regardless of any factors each blade deals it's damage twice a second. So if you have 10k tooltip with 0.15 cast speed you are actually doing 3k dps per blade out and 150k if 50 are out. | |
