" I don't see it that way. I think Bex's effort was top shelf. I think the game reusing assets and recycling content endlessly by calling it "clever" use of ressources got fuckin old. FWIW I copped 1-2 probes under the system that just ended. I caught ALOT more under the old one, which is basically this "new" one. So typical of GGG. We ask for clarification, our CM writes a novel explaining the ins and outs, then they just scrap all that work and put a 2 line definition of the rules. What a joke. I had a feeling before they officially posted them that eventually they would fall. They were well thought out and probably needed but they were also basically the almost exact rules as we used as volunteer moderators. Once GGG stopped enforcing most all of them when the vmods went away, well then going back in time usually doesn't go well. We had a few gripes but overall people didn't give a first fuck they had rules back then to follow, even if they weren't typed out, we were vocal about reminding people nicely to follow them so they mostly did. We interacted, had fun and when someone stepped over the line they knew it before they did it usually 3 or 4 times with warnings first, so mostly all probations back then were done on purpose by someone trying to be a dick. To much sudden fast growth and very new support members made the rules used then kind of go to the wayside as they dealt with a massive upswing in pretty much everything at once, GGG did great but by the time they tried to reign it back to where they used to have it the forum life had changed permanently and really no chance to go back to where it was.
Kinda miss pissing someone off and having naked porn pics spammed for hours though.
