[Known Issue] Deutsche Telekom

The problem is when i join a public party, it's very often with frankfurt gateway.
I play very strained there and most of times I must leave. For the route, it seems I can have as far as influence than a train on rails :( | |

You can possibly avoid the route, but also connect to Frankfurt gateway by using a VPN. Those usually have a monthly subscriber fee (the free ones are usually overloaded and suck).

The problem is still there. I was hoping to play the Talisman league after i paused at Dark Shrine, but the problem is still there and ongoing.
The spikes may be not as high as they were before, but the game is still unplayable thanks to the packet loss stutter.

yes its a improvement, same here i was skip the Dark Shrine league, and the ping in Talisman is now better and the lag spike are not more so high than before, but the game stutter more.

For feedback
I had enough to cry a river and decided for knowledge to try a "renowned" VPN (not e free 1) and tried many ways to change the route ... Result was always : WORST The truth is in europe for the net (and other things), we are trash ... Even London is sometimes totaly unplayable. The only solution to play decently is to use US gateway with a ping abit higher but a game stable and then playable. That's all ! | |

In the new congress of the CCC in germany there is a new presentation that exactly tackles the issue GGG has with the Deutsche Telekom (and other similar providers in europe) and explains in detail what these do to create the problems we know (and why).
The whole thing might be interesting for GGG too because it explains where the problems are. Plus the whole presentation this time is in english so everybody should be able to understand the reasons for the whole mess! i'm not using Deutsche Telekom.. using Unitymedia here in Germany (Karlsruhe)
and the routing ist the same.. checking via tracert or WinMTR

as u may know "snowstorm" and nearly every other company is using telia, and telia to be honest is even worser as a company then then deutsche telekom or other isp´s.
dont know where the problem is, but at the time i got an close looking routing from a "snowstorm" game and experience 0 laggs, paket looses and so on, in poe its the same for around 2 weeks know... 18:00 o clock in germany and i log out cause the game is unplayable. maybe ur right with some of ur points against the big ips´s in the several countries, but asia, brazil and Na got the same probs know and i would bet they have no routing through telia what as far as i know is only hosting in europe. ;) so, the core problem must be somewhere else, even in germany not only dsl users are assuming this problems, cable users are in the same situation. dont know what to do, but at the moment everything i can from my side is, log out at primetime and i wont get too frustratet in hope this problem will soon been solved. | |
