tiers map is bad idea imo
I really don't like the change in map levels to tiers. There was nothing wrong or confusing about the way it was. Map level told you the base level of the monsters inside the map. It was no different then zones on the world map displaying monster levels. If people can understand that then they can understand map levels. I am rarely critical of changes that are made but this is pretty bad and pointless. If this is actually a problem in the game that people don't understand then changing it to tiers seems like nothing more than repainting a room and calling it new. It will change nothing in the eyes & minds of the way existing players view them and It will only be more confusing to new players. New players will spend the whole game basing difficulty off of monster levels on the world map and not even know what level monsters they will encounter until the open up the map short of having to go online (more than likely will have to resort to a 3rd part site for the details) and look up the information first. Very poor change in my opinion

Everything else A+
Why do you care about people hitting 100? Do you realize how many hours of gameplay that translates to? Do you realize that most characters are 'complete' by level 80-90?
yep agree naming maps with tier seems pointless, the rest of the changes are cool

also zana lvl 8 needs a buff, 73-75 is an automatic skip.

Yes, Zana definitely needs a de-nerf. She was fine pre-awakening, can't really understand why she was nerfed to the point that her dailies are just a hassle.
1% of players are able to hit 100, better raise that xp from 99->100 so they can grind our maps for another week of not having a life or streaming because it's their job.

Tier system isn't necessary and will not provide a benefit substantial enough to warrant the change, please reconsider this.
/doublefacepalm

When you put lipstick on a pig, it is still a pig (ask Mr. Cameron). Only now PoE will have a more confusing pig.

We have made some changes to the calculation of experience in level 77-82 maps. They now have effective experience levels (for the experience penalty calculation only) of 76.9, 77.7, 78.4, 79, 79.5 and 79.9 respectively. This achieves both of the above goals, while leaving all other players unaffected.

So there's hidden exp penalty for diff level maps?

Will the teir be 'hardness' of map mods, or exp, or what.
Will this include 'monster types' like Devours/The Kanga thingys with the tail? Lots of them/yellow ones of them are stupidly harder than 'most' map mods and not shown till you assplode.
