Lightning Warp

You've put a lot of work in the skill lately, thank you.

The visual and sound effect are great, camera behaviour and overall skill "snappiness" feels good. But.

The main issue — the skill still require full line of sight to the cast position for being successfully used, it feels like a 2 units size character model needs a 4 units size hallway to the destination in order for the skill to actually teleport the character. Aand it's a bit of a problem as for an isometric rpg with an overall low contrast environment, you can't eyeball the way from character to the mouse pointer each damn time, as a result LW stuck and teleport character in the same place way too often.

Why don't just set "maximum travel distance" to like 140 units and actually use built-in pathfinding? if the calculated path is too long, teleport the character to the spot on the line where the maximum travel distance exceeded.
Or remove the character model collision check from "is destination reachable", in a case where you can throw a smoke mine you should be able to effectively use LW as well!

The skill yet has an issues with stairs, that gif from 1.5 years ago is still valid.
On auto-predictive mode at the 150ms latency realm the skill behaves like a drunken sailor, with "invisible skill effect" is the least problem.

It's widely known some attacks in this game you are not allowed to tank by no means. In a case where Whirling Blades or Dash are going to save your character — LW will fail. Not just a "similar investments" LW fail but a full stuffed 4l lvl 23 LW with Awakened Swift Affliction, anointed Window of Opportunity etc.
Unreliable, slow, unrewarding, overcomplicated, unreasoned ability, that is only good for cheesing with lockstep desync on Sarn arena.

We have got Second Wind + Dash with travel distance enchant, you may delete this crappy-Teleport-successor and no one will notice.

I'm wondering.. As I've had some troubles with Maven's memory game, isn't Lightning Warp a viable option for some char to complete the memory game ?
Since you can plan multiple warps.. anyone tried it ?

This feedback is addressed to players, not developers (for obvious reasons)

105% reduced duration, 178% cast speed Lightning Warp, you'll probably think "holy shit this is a huge investment as for a movement skill, the thing should work flawlessly" and you'd be wrong.
This is actually the minimum requirements for LW.
for that cost you'll get:
How about 50% reduced duration + 50% less + 25% less with 50% movement speed? — Nope, the skill is unbearably annoying to use at those values. Any value below "100% reduced skill duration" cause the cast queuing feature to kick in and it feels terrible, you getting a second cast at the same place each time. But even 100% reduced skill duration doesn't save you from:
sometimes on its own will the skill teleports you on random position on the vector of travel (mouse pointer on the gif is just placed in bottom left corner of the game client).
Kinda sad, don't you think? Wait you haven't seen it on 150ms latency (Predictive network mode)
The skill has some junk logic which causing character to perform a second cast at the same place despite 100% reduced duration.

If you want to enjoy a good movement skill for a caster — wrong game, sorry.
If you ever consider to use LW. Don't. Just stack up >200% movement speed.

That was interesting.
And that first gif feels like D2 teleport :D

But wouldn't queuing on purpose (perhaps even with added duration) be a good solution for auto-complete Maven's memory game ?

I came here to ask about this because I've been having problems with LW. I've got 20% faster casting and 20% reduced duration on it, but it almost feels like that made things worse, like I travel faster if I tap the bound key quickly instead of holding it down. Sometimes I go in random directions, or it feels like I'm teleporting to my current position before moving on. And don't even get me started on trying to move through a crowd of enemies during heist missions.

I thought I was imagining it. Is there a fix, an ideal set of modifiers that make movement with LW smoother? It's a mess, but none of the other movement skills really appeal.
I want a skill that interacts with Lightning Warp in a method similar to the way that Venom Gyre interacts with Whirling Blades.
