Explosive Arrow Marauder (Updated for Release)

Need suggestions....
I currently use Carcass chest and have decided to try something else. I am going to build a *GODLY* chest and want some opinions on base items, stats, etc...

My current set up

Spoiler

I need other upgrades as well starting w/ a better amulet, however I am focused in on a chest piece atm.

Feedback, personal opinions, and suggestions would be awesome!

I would definitely consider replacing concentrated effect with increased aoe... Yea it's lower damage, but you'll more reliably ignite packs, and have a much bigger area of coverage.

The only thing that really stands out is your amulet, and the fact that you have 0 chaos resistance :( I guess that's the price you pay for running dual andy rings.

Your carcass jack is a pretty high roll, I wouldn't replace it until you have something truly great. I wish I could get my hands on somthing other then carcass jack.....

6 link Assassin Garb for the 3% move speed.

+100 life
+300 evasion
+100% evasion
(1600-1700 total eva)
+35 Chaos Res
+35 Light/Cold/Fire
+35 Light/Cold/Fire

Best of luck to you with your crafting :P

My current:

Spoiler

3972 Health /460 es, 9315 armor ~51% reduction (w.grace), +77 All resists & +57 chaos resist, 180 rarity culling.

Omg hahah... I had that in there because I didn't have the gem at the time, and found Conc when I 5linked and threw it in there. Thank you for reminding me hahah.... I've had other things on my mind recently >.< (Don't lend 6links to "friends") lol

Yes i need chaos resist lol. However, I have been getting very good at dodging anything that has chaos, and rarely die from it. My deaths all come from pulling half a map and trying ot kill everything with a single 5stack hahah :O Thanks for the advice though man I appreciate your post. Add me ingame if u ever wanna map or something : P

Got insta-gibbed in Merciless Barracks today. Postmortem, at the edge of the screen I saw a hovering mage champ pack with Lightning Thorns. Nevertheless that was fun to play, will roll it again. Thanks!
Cursed the ground where dead thoughts live new and oddly bodied, and evil the mind that is held by no head. Wisely did Ibn Schacabao say, that happy is the tomb where no wizard hath lain, and happy the town at night whose wizards are all ashes.

Flammability + Vulnerability + Elemental Weakness + Elemental equilibrium. I calculate DPS to be around 76k compared to the normal 34k.

Use windscream for 1 additional curse.

If you have shock stacks then you can get 350k dps. Prob enough to kill a 6 man maze vaal in one burn. Really only builds like elemental hit + thunderfists can shock targets with that much high health tho.

If you are worried about dying to reflect then just use enfeeble + ele weakness + vulnerability. Or just fire out one arrow at a time.

This is a fun alternative if your groups need more utility or dps. EE use depends on group composition.

I have not done the math on tri-curse but I have tried it. All I can say is it melts pretty much anything. I naturally use dual curses (I don't see why anyone would pass up windscream) and threw on a Doedre's Damning to test out vulnerability vs ele' weakness. Doedre's was just for testing, it is a very, very bad ring for this build :)

Was testing in a few different 70 maps (can't recall exactly which ones) and was using vulnerability level 1-10ish, so I couldn't take advantage of a high level gem; however, the only real stat you need from it is the 40% damage debuff. Ele reflect is always a big threat when it come to EA, so you just have to play smart as usual.

Despite how fast things died, the rotation seemed to result in the same clear speed as dual curse. Even with 2x 4 links to support the curses so that all 3 curses were able to have increased aoe and faster casting (lvl 18).

Triple Curse -> EA 4/5 stack -> split arrow spam, 1 shots any magic/rare trash (or <70 map bosses).

Dual Curse -> EA 5 stack -> split arrow spam, 1 shots any magic/rare trash (or <70 map bosses).

The bonus from triple curse just seemed lacking and not worth the 8 points required to spec into it. I would rather spend the 8 points on the full arsonist circle and the 2x 4% aoe Templar nodes. That build you linked really made me look at how my talent tree was oriented. I've tried to incorporate the central health circle a few times and your build works well with it.

I guess it really comes down to group viability, being able to bring 3 curses to the table means a lot. I have not tried this in anything higher then 70 maps sadly, maybe it really does come out waaaay on top. I'll stick with dual curse for now :)

The real benefit I see from tri-curse is that you wouldn't need to go EE. If you went EE+tri-curse you'd be at an extremely high risk of dying to reflect. On trash mobs, I don't even think tri-curse is necessary (I often times find myself not even cursing if the mobs aren't fire resist). So you'd really only see major benefits on high fire resist mobs and blue/rare/boss packs.

Like I was saying though, I do think you would be able to get away with not going EE, so I definitely think the build has potential.
Has anyone tried this map solo?

I run dual curses with no EE.....
