Several times he hit me 2-3 times a row which is not possible if its attack.

It has very small hitbox and propably calculates dmg when the spear launches, just like many other things in this game. Means that if you have IC up when he launches his spear, but IC wears off when the spear hits you, you still dont take dmg because you were immune to it when dmg was calculated.

I took video with 14k eva, ondars, acro. 4 hits in a row. I could repeat that several times. Taking projectile attack 4 times a row is almost impossible with those stats. Easy to test vs double Shrine Piety or Uber Atziri. I have coil on, so I took some lightning dmg with IC up.

edit: I was wrong about dmg calculation and my video actually shows it too.

If you can manage to face tank him, he won't do the spear if you stay in his melee range.
