No, thats where you are wrong. You choose not to play those characters and start new ones. You basically also choose to be bored because why would you not play something else?

And why is it pointless? Its good to make new chars for new builds so you got a better feel for it. Thats why we take driving lessons, so we know what to do and how to do it.

You can always just get the same build with old chars while you make new builds with new chars. All that changes is the tree, the gems will be the same and so will be the items.

Ehm what? Creating new characters is something I like, I made tons of new characters in Diablo2, and loved coming back to my old ones -they were like I left them.

Why do you assume I don't play anything else? Why I write here, even though I don't play much, is because I actually like game, but it could be so much more for me IF THEY DIDN'T RESET ONES SKILLS WITH EVERY DAMN PATCH.

It's ironic that they, from the start, were against full skill resets, but then go ahead and reset them at almost each patch.

Of course, you know in sports that are seasonal, you still end up with bizarre offshoots of them during the main sports off season. Does this mean we'll end up with an Arena Path of Exile league?

easy to fix:
remove upward Xp Penalty... i had a bunch of lv 42 char that could clear lv 62 maps... they would have level way faster... instead of that you have to carry them in low level environnment and dontcare about the loot, instead of doing maps :/

I got burned up halfway last league. Never got the item thay i really like "shav". But i saved more ex than the previous leagues so its still a job well done for me. I stopped playing and played some monster hunter. Then i got burned up again playing non stop then i saw the challenges on this 1 month league are managable and the prices are absolutely great i hope they will make more challenges like this. 2/4 already just missing a lv 80 and 7 more master challenge.

imo anyone who wants to have a serious discussion about the game should do it and anyone who wants to have a serious discussion about the game should have a public profile. Its an extremely experience based game, if youre having a conversation about mechanics, skills, passives, playstyles etc and you dont know if the guy you are talking to has 1 lvl30 char or 10 lvl90 chars then you have no way to actually evaluate what they are saying and what it applies to.

People have told this guy that the games pace is a lot different at lvl50 and then again at lvl80, you think he would need to know that if he had lvl100 chars? A guy with lvl100 chars saying what this guy said is obviously extremely burnt out on the game, a guy with lvl30 chars saying what hes saying is probably stuck in a rut of not making effective builds and not understanding how the game progresses beyond where he current is, it makes all the difference in the world what lvl chars he has, its fundamental to actually understanding what hes saying.




the amount of experience you have in this game, the diversity of builds and characters you have tried, the level of gear you have, these things say absolutely nothing about you as a human being, it has zero meaning in relation to opinions of a person as a person. But when it comes to their opinion on the game it means EVERYTHING, doesnt mean their opinions are invalid if they dont have X gear, X amount of characters etc, far from it, but without that information theres no real way for another player to digest anything they say about the game properly that isnt pure factual information. If someone says 'x' is bad you think 'x' is good, should you be giving them advice on how to do 'x' properly? Or should you be looking to them for advice on what alternatives to 'x' are actually far superior? You have no idea until you have an idea of who exactly you are talking to in terms of game experience.
