No motivation at all

I gotta say that, I feel kinda the same... But for me it's more because my characters keep getting their passive skills reset, because of patches, and then I don't really feel the same attachment to them anymore...

So I make new characters to try out new skills, get bored at some point, partially because leveling up another character is rather pointless when you realize that you have a few old ones that you could just put the new skill on and plot in some passive skills to support it.

I'm ranting I know, but I'm just annoyed that every time I want to play POE, I have to remember how the hell I played each character and try to plot in the passive skills so it makes sense... again..

No, thats where you are wrong. You choose not to play those characters and start new ones. You basically also choose to be bored because why would you not play something else?

And why is it pointless? Its good to make new chars for new builds so you got a better feel for it. Thats why we take driving lessons, so we know what to do and how to do it.

You can always just get the same build with old chars while you make new builds with new chars. All that changes is the tree, the gems will be the same and so will be the items.
PoE is one of the best games I know, but I still take 3 - 6 month breaks after an intense period of play (I haven't played since last October or so). There is just no game on earth that doesn't start to feel samey to me after playing consecutively for about 2 or 3 months.

In the meantime, there is a plethora of other awesome games to catch up on or replay. All the while, I keep checking the site for new patches and updates, building up interest for the next play session which usually coincides with the next major content release.

You said you've already played all other 'hyped games' out there. Not sure what you mean by that, but I can assure you there are lot of high quality games out there which were not hyped. Hell, PoE can hardly be seen as a game that was hyped in the mainstream gaming media. Maybe you should broaden your horizon a bit.

Of course that after a month of playing through ACT 4, I will get bored, then GGG will announce new patches with new stuff, gems or interesting stuff.

Precisely the sort of player this game should never have attracted.

How much have you supported? Just curious. I'm not going to assume 'zero' just because you're not wearing any tags. I'd like to know what you think GGG's efforts are worth.

Why does this matter?

Act 4 will change virtualy nothing for you, you'll get to the end of act 4 and still face the same problems

Agreed. I would take a look at some of the real reasons you find yourself not enjoying your time with the game anymore.
Poe is what I play when I have no motivation. I quit playing for the last few months because of my newly found motivation. I've lost 8 pounds. I gained some muscle mass and even started a new job about 2.5 weeks ago. Actually, playing video games is very time consuming and hard on the body. I tend to lose my motivation after about a week of nonstop gaming after a new league starts, followed by bloating, bad body odor, an increase in unhealthy calories and sleep deprivation.
cant please everyone. When you try you please no one. Try another game.

I would have to agree that this game lacks motivation to the casual lot of us, I have noticed maps are easier to get into then they use to be but drop wise we are slave to vendoring everything in the hope to craft something, until you realise to actualy -craft- in this game needs exalts to multi mod and do they actualy think people use exalts on normal gear?

Crafting during leveling okay, end game is none existent, map map map until a upgrade which i have never had a problem with and like.

But in the end its a seasonal game and we will be back with act 4 to buy another support pack.
**Iv said it once ill say it again if someone doesnt have a peice of gear that went legacy you _____________________________clearly didnt want to play the build at the time it was OP.**__________________

Yeah, if they just buffed orb drops we could craft early and mid lvl gear not just OP GG endgame gear. I dont even see endgame at all, so what i need isnt some lvl 70+ item, its some items for lvls 10 to 60.
