THE Loot Filter should be -A- GAME OPTION, period.

Old people and smallish kids, wont be able to perform that function properly.

Have you considered that?

That also puts those 2 groups in unfair place.

In my opinion, people who are UNABLE to understand and consider this point, by complaining about complaints, and arguing "it is easy as learning English, if I can do it, everyone can do it" are simply self-centered nerds. And usually those self-centered nerds lack of tolerance and empathy by people who can't perform computer actions, such as scrpting, coding and/or manipulating a config file; things that people from my generation (90') can do easily.

I'm personally not against the implementation of this item filter feature. I was one of those who voted for having it, but as the others QoL features, I expected it to be implemented in a user-friendly way, with its proper GUI. Yes, of course that would be a tremendous job due the diversity of the items of the game, but I find grotesque that GGG solution was, instead of working with the community to came with a user GUI (a lot of fan UI 3rd party softwares are being made to compensate this weakness) they just came with "You wanted a Item Filter? There, script your shit. Doing a GUI is too much work". I don't find it professional, but this is an indie company and the game is free (yes, this is the ultimate argument). Does that justify it? That's the final question in every argument that comes with a questionable decision such this.

This is starting to feel like a Blizzard forum. And I don't mean that in a nice way.

So sad to watch so many supposed hardcore gamers seriously crying about this absolutely amazing change.

have you ever thought of the chance that the people now bitching about it arent the same ones who wanted this?

I never had a problem with this, nor do i need it much. But i may make use of it for the coloring options.

And dear OP, You have no idea what you are talking about. Did you read the announcement? They said that if they made it a UI option it wouldnt be satisfying to players and it would bloat the UI. And i dont see any need for any coding knowledge, just basic PC use knowledge, mainly copy and paste. If you cant do that i suggest you go to school and learn but since you type here your QQ you should know the basics.

Nothing more to add to a thread we had thousands about already. You all can be glad i dont own GGG, i would lock all the duplicate threads and leave the discussion in 1 thread only instead of the forum clutter we now have. But its generation special snowflake, what can i say? Everyone needs their own thread so they can have the focus on them.
Smart people have always been at an "unfair" advantage. Not sure why people suddenly start raging about it.
Yeah, think of all the thousands of smallish children and 80-year old players who will stop playing this game becouse they don't know how to use Google and the copy/paste command on the mouse :(

I know an indie game ruled by someone like you. His player-base never go above 200, it has have the same average of players in the last 7 years.

I got banned for 9 years for posting a feedback thread, a wall of text. My thread got deleted, as many other people posts get deleted when they post feedbacks. I played that game for 4 years, was the first Venezuelan account created and brought a lot of Hispanic players there. Sadly, the developer can't handle feedback and the repercussion of their development decisions, i.e. community posting elaborated threads about it and else.

That game is www.zezeniaonline.com by the way, if you want to take a look. That's your perfect example on how to be a failure in the gaming industry.

Its like with those who occupied wall street. There will always be people who dont want to put in the time to learn but still earn equal pay with those who did.

WHats next GGG, saying to the players: Start studying c++ ,cuz you have to code ur own maps??

pfft...

Or in 2020 GGG ,is asking the players to develop themselves act 6 and mail it to them.

Editing a text config file is to writing C++ code as

Hanging a picture is to architecting a skyscraper

I understand that computers intimidate many people. This situation is not nearly as scary as it seems right now. There will be plenty of people willing to assist with the 'scripting'.

Finally, it is an OPTION. No one is required to use it.

If this is hard for anyone, then they must question their intelligence.
Even a 5 years old kid can do this.

They don't want a UI cause it would be 10 pages long and clunky? This isn't?

Yet another feature they expect the community to develop for them. So now we need to alt tab to see trees, alt tab to post trades, alt tab to look items up and scripts for a loot filter?

Ok
