What is most immersion breaking in POE?

strongboxes

Every time I open one I think of a clown car and wonder how many clowns are packed into it. What are these monsters doing sitting in Mr. Dressups tickle trunk. I can't wrap my head around why monsters would ever pack into a box and close the lid.

Its more like the PoE version of a Pokéball. :D

Now i think about it

Monsters diversity... so fucking lame

back in Beta and release it was perfect
each zone had their 3-4 types of monsters
now its everything everywhere

you can no longer have specific spots to grind according to your build... it feels boring and blend

You think that blend is boring but static monsters per zone to grind is not boring.

K.

How they added diversity is like if for each days of the week you eat a specific meal
But then GGG decides on Monday (a1) to put in the blender 2 servings of Mondays meal and one serving of each meal of each days
Then blend it, stick it down our throat and repeat for each days(acts)

It's the same shitty taste for every act
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it
Loot
Desynch
Leveling process of masters and characters above 85
Load time.
Huh?
Having to go to poe.trade to shop
I dont see any any key!
- Scrolls of wisdom. Identifying all that stuff, sometimes running out of them (and then running the "chat" to find somebody selling them in large numbers and quickly) and so on.

- Tons of trash-items on the floor. The atmosphere is gone, once you kill some mobs in a narrow area. After "defend the relict" for example, the game looks like scrabble. Generally: the amounts of dropped loot (not the quality).

- Portal scrolls. I could live with them if there was a short-cut to them. Opening menu, clicking scroll: not so good.

That's it. I want to say that with immersion i mean zen-focus-grinding in an arpg. Kill-loot-kill-loot is what is broken up when scrolls set in or tons of trash loot demand your time to go through it in search for a mirror ;) Yeah i know that i can turn show loot off. Sometimes you can't loot in the time the item is shown then. So you have to toggle loot on. And whoooop there it is.

Immersion like in skyrim or other "real" rpgs is nothing i am looking for in this game. Even if i have to say that my first run with my first char felt like only a few other game-experiences before. It was great. After that: nope. Just grinding and killing and stuff ;))

The Sirus fight is a disgrace.

I think you make a good point about how immersion is very different in an ARPG compared to a "classic" RPG

I dont see any any key!
its solaris and lunaris layouts where there is a door and right next to the door there is a missing wall ;P

Trading

How immersive is it to "leave" the game, look up a third party site, find items others have made, copy his/her name, contact him/her ingame just to find out they're offline, even if the third party site said otherwise.

No matter how a developer does it, trading will always be counter-immersive.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
The fire elements you fight against in the start of act 3 when you try to rescue tolman... They have ZERO fire resist, they are fucking made from fiery brimstone but oh no a fire ball hit me, it burns AWWWW. That is the most immersion breaking in this game...
