Abyssal Orb
Randomly chooses two passive nodes and voids them (still allocated but gives no benefit, can no longer be regretted, turns black, looks like a solar eclipse)
Only voids 1 node if first selection is a notable
Cannot void notables with second selection
Cannot void keystones
Adds 1 passive skill point

Vaal Orbs aren't enough. Corrupt yourself.

Orb of retardation : reroll all affix tiers, 1 goes tier 1, all others go lowest tier.
Not so Exalted Orb.

What it does - It randomly removes 1 prefix or suffix from a item.
you have zero control over what it removes.

only works on rare items.
does not work on magic items.

its a gamble item, for when you get that 1 junk roll and think "man, if only this reflect 5 damage wasn't on this belt - it would be amazing", or you roll a Tyrannical finally after 600 alterations - regal it once.... and get 33 cold resist....

you could take a chance at removing 1 of those rolls... might be the tyrannical roll... might be the cold roll. who knows.

this could save a item - or destroy it. its your gamble.

with the potential of such a orb though - this is a higher tier orb - somewhere near an exalt.

if it was trivial, then the gamble would be irrelevant - if you had to think twice before using 1, then you would make sure that item was worth the orb.
an orb that allows you to skip a single node on the passive tree. only one orb can be used per character. the area you "leaped" over is highlighted in a slightly different color than normally selected nodes.

also, an orb that allows you to unlink sockets on a piece of gear, without removing the sockets.

Orb of Ascension
Upgrades the base item to the next tier

So a boarding axe would become a tomahawk, a dusk blade would become a twilight blade, an ursine pelt would become a lion pelt, etc. The item level would not change, nor would the magical mods, quality, sockets, or anything else. You can't use the orb on an item that has no upgrade, so not on the early tier "driftwood" and "rusty" items. It would raise the attribute requirements of the item, and could possibly raise the level requirements as well.

This would allow you to make certain low and mid tier unique items much more viable. For example, you could upgrade the Pillar of the Caged God from a Long Staff to a Quarterstaff and then a Lathi. The Unique Chober Chaber is great for Dominating Blow builds, but as a Great Mallet it becomes unusable in the late game, but spending an Orb of Ascension on it would upgrade it's base item to a Colossus Mallet.

This would also make it less agonizing to find a rare with great modifiers but a low base item.

It would be a powerful orb, and would need to be quite rare, maybe one found for every 5 exalts or something.
Noticed someone else already beat me to that one earlier in the thread, so I'll add another:

Stasis Orb
Place in the socket of an item to protect that socket from a single chromatic orb

So if you have a weapon that's BBR and you want GGR, you can place the Stasis Orb in the red socket and hit the item with a chromatic. The Stasis Orb would be consumed and that socket is guaranteed to remain red. If your result is now GBR you could spend two more Stasis Orbs to protect the green and red sockets, re-rolling only the blue one.
Exvaalted orb:
- 5% chance to add 1 random affix to rare items.
- only usable in fully linked and
corrupted rares
- 5% chance to remove the links and 90% chance of destroying the item

- if you try to use it after eternal the item, its destroyed too

this is mine.

Orb of Rektness; Roll 6 t6 mods, and a garuentee to get thorns.

example: 6Link Vaal Regalia. Thorns, life regen, pure stun/hit recovery, and the rest are garuenteed to be good. Obviously only the thorns is garuenteed, but because...why not, just fucking roll that other shit anyway

Would be interesting to see an orb that gave players to level their characters.

Orb of finesse: Sets an item level requirement to 80. If already >= 80, it adds one. Max use of 20 per item. Increases all affixes numerical values by 1-3% (85% for 1, 14% for 2, 1% for 3). Prevent mods from being added or removed using other currency (regals, alts, exalts). Other currency still works (divines/eternaling to remove orbs of finesses).

So an end game mirrorable item would now have an expected 2000 eternal orbs to make it perfect and be usable only be level 100s. But they also can be used on imperfect gear as players level their characters.
