Invent an Orb!

Gemcutter's Glint/Gemcutter's Finish: chance for +1 to gem level (maximum of 21), chance to -2 gem level (minimum of 1)

Orb of Calibration: increase all affix levels on a rare by 1, then reduce a random affix level by 2

Temp league only
Provides the ability to take one item out of permanent league stash into temp. You have 1 minute to use the orb on pickup.

Blueprint Orb (Needs a better name, I know)

Think Rarity of an Exalted orb or Eternal (Maybe slightly rarer but not Mirror rare)
Binds on use
Takes a Hideout and imprints the hideout onto it.
An orb that would take the affixes off an item and then allow the player to transfer those affixes to another item such as chest armour A -> chest armour B.

The use would be getting high tier affixes off of low tier base items.

It could also be used on a found 5 or 6 link. Instead of rolling it just ID similar items and transfer the affixes over.

Only one can be used on an item. Choose any afix, add the affix to the item (tier of the affix remains random).

I imagine it would be relatively uncommon to find.

As an aside, this game, in my opinion, needs more orbs that are the chaos/Vaall/regal rarity.

Orb of Grounding/Ceiling

While used on an item, it has 99% chance to apply the ceiling effect, which will prevent an item from rolling mods higher than the orb level. 1% chance to apply the grounding effect. This orb should be as rare as Vaal.

Idea One:

Orb of Balance - When used it will add the tiers of the rolls of a magic or rare item and then average them, rounds down if <= .5.

I.E

Tier 4 increased physical %
Tier 2 increased flat physical
Tier 1 accuracy
Tier 1 resistance
Tier 1 resistance
Tier 4 resistance

4+2+1+1+1+4 = 13/6 = Tier 2.16 = Rounded = Tier 2. The item would gain tier 2 in all of it's attributes.

It'd be a fairly powerful orb but not exactly game breaking since you can't craft a perfect item with it. Requiring some knowledge of the various rolls and a calculation to see the benefit/detriment to your item. It would allow items that have top tier rolls in less desirable stats to still be somewhat useful.

Idea 2:

Orb of remembrance - When used it will create an imprint of an item that stores purely the colors. The colors may be restored at a later date. Works on all items.

Nothing more annoying than wishing to change builds but you really, really don't want to sell or uncolor your 4-5-6 off color item. Problem sorted!

Idea 3:

Equilibrium Orb - Three versions of this orb would be available. Ruby, sapphire and topaz. When used on an item, a single elemental resistance roll on the item will be changed to match the corresponding resistance. Will not re roll back on itself. For example:

Implicit - 30 Cold Resistance
Attribute 1 - 40 Fire Resistance
Attribute 2 - 30 Lightning Resistance
Attribute 3 - 20 Cold Resistance

Say the player uses a topaz equilibrium orb, it may do three things:

a : Change the Implicit to 30 Lightning Resistance.
b : Change Attribute 1 to 40 Lightning Resistance.
c : Change Attribute 3 to 20 Lightning Resistance.

After use the text of the resistance would glow the color of the resistance it was previously and the item would gain a tag similar to corrupted that prevents further use. Undo possible at crafting work station for x Equilibrium + Scouring Orbs. I'd love to see it be usable on uniques as well. This would of course allow the ability to have multiple of the same resistance on one item outwith implicit, for crafting purposes the previous resistance would be considered to be present on the item.

Orb of Defiance.

Has a 30% chance of raising the quality of a gemby 2% (Maximum of 30% Total qual) armour or weapon by 5% (Maximum of 45% total qual), has a 30% chance of doing nothing , has a 40% chance of destroying the item in question.

This gives People a chance of raising theyre items even higher then the Maximum at the cost of a risk , gives permanent League players something to aim for in terms of quality of gems, and gives People who play With not that expensive uniques a chance to continue to evolve the character they play.
