It does NOT give you the same thing as vaals pact or w/e its called, only the 9% (if that) on the weapon itself counts for instant life leech, not other sources.

No, it's "Life Leech from HITS with This Weapon". In other words, it's not the greatest offhand weapon since only half of your damage will actually get instant leech, but it scales greatly with other lifeleech sources.

It'll most likely stack with prism guard shield as well for auras in that shield, which is all additive with the reserved nodes. With reduced mana and two 40% auras you could get them down to 25% total health, pretty nice really.

Life Leech is weird

I had a Mace/Claw Duelist that managed to get Claw life leech/gain on hit from my offhand claw when I was using Ground Slam for no clear reason, probably because Ground Slam only uses the main hand weapon and all, but yeah, at least some, if not all, of that life leech can carry across to your mainhand.

And I say had because I died yesterday at lv 49 :/
