Tips for farming / Magic Finding

Bit of a hungover mistake post, will do a mapping mf test when i have the energy.

There are no poor players. There are players who consider finding good items is mandatory to earn money. They don't play the game like it is designed.
Always see good items as a bonus and not your primary income of money. Recipes are.

Basicaly there are no TOP AREA who will give you more money you have to find your own way to farm related to what your character can do and mostly with wich speed he can do it.

Some players are farming dominus well thats a decent way specialy for recipes it offer lot of rare shit drops and sometimes a decent unique.

Some others are just building a character with some MF able to farm with a very good clearspeed map up to 70 thats a way i disagree but well why not if that work for them ?

Some are just getting some base currencies with recipes and then buy items on poetrade to sell them at an higher price ( thats basicaly what is giving the better income of money ).

Some others are also just using chaos spam on harbringer bow who are in high demand ( thanks tornado shot builds ) and sell them at high prices.

Atziri runs. ( no need to detail here i still can't understand how people can pay 1 ex for these belts who are all except necessary for endgame ).

Or you can try to 5L/6L unique chest ( and even white. If you 5L it just stop sell and repeat on an other chest. 6L is bonus and not mandatory with this method )

Or you can just run maps with a fee for party members ( safe way to earn xp + currencies ).

There are tons of ways to be rich in PoE ! The game is designed for that but the big drop isn't the way to play. It's a sort of bonus reward to your actual wealth nothing else.

Use your head. Be patient. Don't gamble too much you will waste currencies and then time invested in the game. time is money. Having a goal is also really important ( or you will loose hope and just gamble :D ).

Last thing i would add to this wall is more a personal tought about high level maps than a way to go if you don't like it of course :)

1/ You will win XP and then levels. Levels help to improve your clearspeed. Clearspeed is money.
2/ Don't forgot that there will be always players waiting to get some white item base with max ilevel ! Running high maps and finding good white base item to sell them is fine.
3/ There will be Exalted drops be sure of that.
4/ You will be able to access map only drops who have a balanced demand in each league for most of them.
5/ Regal recipe !!
6/ Chancing ! Even if you don't get the unique you might get a well rolled rare !
7/ Alching jewellery to do your regal recipe ! Sometimes a wild well rolled amulet will appear under your eyes !
8/ Meet very cool people who have already dealt with lot of game mechanics to be able to run hard content with you !
9/ Do not run these maps without investing few currencies on them.
10/ If you have too much high level maps ? Sell them !


PLAY THE GAME. You will be rewarded. Thats all tips i can give about farming ( with some notions about trading wich is important - The game is also designed around that). I probably forgot many things but the most important is here.
