Currently I'm playing the 2h Static ranger as my first melee build. I've never played a build with Vaal pact before so I'm slightly confused.
I got it once at around level 40, and I felt I was going to die using it. So I refunded it for later. I'm trying it again now, and I still feel I will die.

When is it more effective to take it than not?

You take vaal pact when you start worrying about dying to reflect. Until then you don't need it.

Etup, can we get an update on your gear for your KB CoCWall build?

i see u uses the other color gem on armor :) u can link yout gem change 6L?

i tried the static strike ranger build and at first, it was pretty damn awsome but i stoped it at lvl 83 because the cost of the item to respect crit staff was to damn hight and i wanted to play crit version so bad so......went back on my tornado/puncture.few days ago i droped.....hegemony's,yes a fucking hegemony's lol.today i tried respecting my 83 ranger for the staff crit version and atm im just wrecking everything.even if im using 4link belly and 4 link hegemony's, the dmg is still there and the survavibility is just insane.i only have about 9-10k dps but so far,its way enought.i wasnt sure if lvl 83 would be enought but at the end,it is fine,droped some life nods and i got the most important stuff.

you truly made an insane build etup.the life amount+the dmg+vaal pack make this build so damn strong.thx for making it :) cant wait now for 5link belly and 6 link hegemony :)

edit:between what you think about this belt? it give more dmg,leech and really good resist,is it a good choice or we just lose to much life with it?

i tried lightning leech and phy leech, but its just pointless and inefficient to do so from the amount of physical dmg static strike does. Lightning leech is better but it only works for mob kills i find 1v1 vs boss its not that great. life leech gem is a must from what i can see. Maybe if i can 3% lightning leech it might be not required

well yes life leech gem is definitly a must,im only on 4 link and im using it.since static does half physical half light,the leech that come from equip (phy dmg) is halfed so end up not that effective.the belt is actualy just good for the res atm so il probably get a really hight life/res belt instead.

Just want to say thanks for the best build I have played.

I was going crit staff but realised at 80, that it would get extremely expensive thus I moved some nodes around to swords... after a while of complete rapage to mobs, I got an awesome Axe and speced into RT. I must say that RT for me is much better, Also using Warlords mark for that leech.

Dps: 41K with Auras. HP 5.4K . max Resists and Fire is +1 to max.

My take on the build, ofcourse since it's softcore it's more yolo with abyssus, but I used a normal helm for lvling, by far the least amount of deaths on any build I played.

perma freezing exiles is fun!

Great build, more fun than my CoD freeze pulser.

21k dps with 4 link (30k without life leech)
31k dps with 5 link (45k+ without life leech)
4.6k hp at lvl 78. Very high survivability.

Also very cheap.
Doomsower 4-6 chaos
Belly of the Beast 2-5 chaos
Everything else 1-10 chaos each (my helm is worth alot but i currently have way too much resist)
