Cleave is better than dual strike for the same reason reave is better than double strike:
-You don't have to get to the centre of the pack to be fully effective.
-With dual strike you have to click on individual monsters, otherwise your first hit, and thus 1/3 of dps essentially does nothing. Cleave is automatic AoE.
-Dual strike has been nerfed twice in a row now, and the 200% damage effectiveness is now 170%, which is further reduced by melee splash.
-Cleave is much less desync prone.
-Cyclone is better than either of them :P

The rest is up to your preferences. I prefer cleave over dual strike but cyclone over any other melee skill, because cyclone just shits on everything, whether in clear speed, survivability, boss klling, or just pure fun :)

While I don't agree with a lot of your tree(resists on tree, ondar's, evasion nodes, going far out for extra block, low amount of life), I think you'll do fine. It would be quite nice if you keep us updated on your progress. Good luck!

I've actually been playing a build quite similar to yours with a few minor tweaks in the tree.

But allow me to suggest the below links for the WoE:



The CDWT group I have on my gloves but only as:
CDWT - Enduring Cry - Increased Duration - Blood Rage

You literally stand there and watch rares kill themselves.

I'm also wondering how Multistrike would work replacing the Added Fire Damage on the WoE, but don't have a spare one to try yet. If it works, that may be more interesting...

If we take "total of 19% reduced mana cost of skills" can we put another aura? for example... purity of fire or purity of light.? Or...herald of thunder or herald of ice? (currently MY cost of skills is 42 of mana, if i put a 3rd aura ...only left 32 mana)

Reduced mana cost of skills is used only to reduced mana cost of active skills that uses mana "on click" (attacks, spells etc).

For auras u need "reduced mana reserved" passives.

If you use reduced mana gem at lvl 20 u should be able to run one 60% aura, one 40% aura and one of the heralds if u have some +mana on gear. But you must calculate this. I mean for example:

1. Hatred + Purity of Lightning + Herald of Ash = 60+40+25 = 125% mana reserverd.
2. With lvl 20 reduced mana gem = 125%*0.71 = 88.75%
3. If u have lets say 400 mana, after those auras with reduced mana gem u have 400*(1-0.8875) left means u'll have 45 mana left.


Now calculate cost of skill with all supported gems, lets cleave + melee phys dmg + faster attacks + multistrike + conc effect:

1. lvl 20 cleave uses 9 mana.
2. Multistrike is 180% multiplier, melee phys is 140%, faster attacks is 115%, conc is 160%, those are mulipliers so that means mana cost of cleave with those supports will be = 9 * 1.8 * 1.4 * 1.15 * 1.6 = 41 mana per use.
3. Now count in reduced mana cost of skills @ 19%, meaning your cleave with supports will cost you: 41*(1-0.19) = 33 mana per use.

U'll have enough for one cleave ther run into mana probles becaouse mana leech rate from mana leech will to be slow to refil your mana pool with number of attacks u have from increased attack speed. From my observations u need at least 3 times the mana u need for one use (in this case around 100 mana) if your attack speed is more than 3 aps.

For fights where IC up time is really neded (like vs Trio) just use Kaoms Sign as one of your rings.
