Map Drop Rate Is Shocking
Map RNG is a damn rollercoster for me. I've ran out of maps two times and recently bought a level 66 map to get back on the wagon.
That map gave me 4 other maps, then while running 3 of those maps I got no other maps. The last map gave me another 3 maps. Also I had the most bizzare RNG in one of my maps where I sware to god every single rare and champion monster was immune to curse. That was a pain. In Short, RNG is a bitch. |

I'm curious has there been any recent word from GGG about potentially adjusting the drop rates?
I'm 68 now. Have found a grand total of 2 maps (I only play solo, well tried the multiplayer for some bosses i coudln't beat but I hate the loot race also lost the only exalted I ever saw drop to some ninja in my first group run) |

After quite successful streak, I got bad streak and ran out of maps. Got whole level in docks 72->73 and not a single map dropped. I think maps drop rate in acts is slightly too low. I don't want to farm docks now like forever! Not everyone is playing 15hours per day, so those who play 2-5hours will get bored in the end... Just some thoughts, maybe increasing 66lvl map drop rate in acts should be considered

Droprate seems to be(fixed) adjusted. Found 4 maps in the last two days after patch, which is more than in the last three weeks.
In acceptance of a bid, plz PM me.

" I highly doubt there was no undocumented change in map drop rate, this is simply RNG at work. I didn't even find my first map till 72. I now have like 20 in my stash. Just how it goes. |

The secret to getting maps is alching ALL the maps you find, and if it's a higher lvl map (70+) ALWAYS quality it. Trust me, IT'S WORTH IT.
The reason I say that is that I know that most people who complain about not getting maps, for a fact, spend alteration orbs - sometimes stacks - on a single map, where 1 single alchemy will nearly always give a better roll than an alt orb can provide; while only sometimes (temporal chains so retarded...) make the map exceedingly difficult. I used to alt transmute + alt the maps until I got maze or larger area rolls, and I often ended up with pretty much the same amount of same lvl maps at the end of the day. Then, after I started alching + quality the maps, I went from 7 maps to about 20 in a single day, only limited by how long I want to play. And the best part? It's not even more expensive than using alts. Considering that most maps only take 1 alch and sometimes 1 chaos, it's cheaper than burning over 1 alt stack on each map. And add to that the fact that rare maps can give map lvl of up to +2. VERDICT/TL;DR? Alch all 'em maps. IGN: Teuzinator (Warbands) Last edited by marcelo#4354 on Feb 15, 2013, 4:13:51 PM

I bought some maps from other players and doing them solo I've found 1-3 maps in all but one out of like ten maps i've done.
I've only seen like 3 drop outside of maps themselves. |

Sorry to say, but people in this post are either unlucky or wearing 0 quality drop aka MF.
I found like ..what ..10 maps before i even started doing them, no idea how many i have run but i never run out..The droprate becomes scarce now and then but never had a problem, and used to run with 40-50 Quality, now more like 80-100 and its still the same, they still drop. Usually it goes like: Start map-->Dont find any-->Start second map-->Find 1 to 5-->Repeat. Actually if i die they start dropping more often, i guess its the game saying "Sorry for the XP loss, take it back ;D" Last edited by potis#3758 on Feb 15, 2013, 4:33:38 PM

" Oh, my mistake then. But I guess that makes sense, I assume bosses and rare monsters drop map +2 then, while magic monsters +1 and normals same lvl? I feel kinda stupid for not realizing that sooner :P IGN: Teuzinator (Warbands)
