Map Drop Rate Is Shocking
" Im not sayin their +quantity from gear. Thats a general game mechanic. Each party member after the leader adds +50% quantity that applies to the whole party. |

" Are you saying that a 6 man party will have the same number of total map drops that would happen solo? I find this hard to believe. If we run a map with 6 people, as a group we are more likely to walk away with another map than if I ran the map solo as far as I can tell. If not, where is this confirmed? |

" No. In a 6 party you have +250% increased quantity which applies to the whole party. Plus what each player have on them but that only applies to their own lasthits. |

The thing is, even solo I have not come close to running out of maps. Perhaps people are running them without using any orbs on them. I don't know what. It seems on average a map run will yield one map in return for me.
But since it does seem to happen, and since it's nice to have some predictable farming areas as well, I'd really like to see more of them. Currently people run Docks, sometimes being so bored they might farm a 61 area instead. And that's it. I don't want to see Maelstrom of Chaos return, but more areas to farm for sure. I have near on 20 maps in my stash right now. To clear things up, more people does not equal more maps in a party. It stays the same no matter the number of people. Therefore, when running 66 maps, you

I have near on 20 maps in my stash right now. To clear things up, more people does not equal more maps in a party. It stays the same no matter the number of people. Therefore, when running 66 maps, you and your friends should all run your own solo at the same time=more maps. Each 68-70 map that I do tends to drop me 1-3 maps. Like everything in this game, its hard to judge drops because it is very luck based and differs for everyone. Some people might see no maps by the time they hit 70 (not likely but it could happen). It works fine.

" That's also what I'm talking about. I thought the phrasing was clear, I guess not... where was I talking about gear ? edit: lets try this again. 1 person kills 120 zombies 6 person kills 120 zombies (20 per person). The same number of maps will be found, on average. Last edited by Thalandor#0885 on Feb 7, 2013, 12:45:26 PM

This is why it's important to re-roll maps to get the highest +quantity % your character can handle.
Kripp has put up a lot of information on map mods, their quantity effect, and rarity. I see very little map trading so far. As more players reach end game, you'll be able to convert orbs to maps via trade more easily. " ... to let them know the game isn’t going to be very fair from here on out."

" That has been the statement since CB however, my personal xp from CB time was that parties in fact DO increase map drop rates in maps. Call me paranoid if you will... havent tried now tho, maybe its finally working as intended. |
