Map Drop Rate Is Shocking

I kinda like it that you can fail to get into the endgame. I think it has something to do with know how and not with a low droprate. By the time i was 66 i had 5 maps used them all and got to some 68 maps but then eventually ran out at lvl 73 or so. It's just so, that not every map drops a map.

My theory is, that you need a bigger staple of maps in order not to run out. 5 is not enough! I never had more then 5 maps. I guess 10 maps would be much better but i am going for 20 maps now before i even start again.

I farm Lunaris 2 and 3 for maps. It still gives decent exp even @75 and secondly there are 2 bosses very easy to farm: Kole and Spinebreaker. Eversince i farm these 2 bosses, the mapdroprate has increased overall. Yesterday in a 2 hour session i got 3 maps. Lunaris is also the least boring zone imo because you still can die, whereas docks i can play with one hand in the pants.

saving your maps is really bad idea. Its just RNG, there is NO mambo-jambo voodoo bullshit behind it. It doesnt matter how many maps you own, all that matters is map item quantity, yet i had maps with +60% that didnt drop any maps and blue ones with +9% that had 4 map drops in em.

why is it a really bad idea? If you have a bigger pool of maps you can take some bad luck. Thats all i am saying here. No voodoo involved ;D

let me tell you how it was to me.... i got two maps while lvling merciless. After i killed piety i farmed for few hours to get lvl 66.

after that? i never left maps! i got 4 map drops out of my first map and i just kept on rolling.

if i took your advice i would have spent WAY too many hours farming docks even tho i obviously didnt have to.

You just had a winning streak at the beginning, congrats to that! and now you have a decent pool of maps which is essentially the same thing i do just with a litle more work involved and less luck. I'd rather farm Lunaris now where i still get some exp from it rather then coming back at lvl 80.

but having large pool of maps doesnt guarantee that you wont have to! :)

all im saying is there is no point in farming 5+ maps. If you got only one map and youre capable of running it, just do.

if you can roll 50%+ quantity, there is almost always map drop :)

This isn't true, I don't think you understand the rng. One time, out of 8 maps in a row that I ran, I didn't get a single map of higher level! I got a few of the same level, and I did those maps with the same result (these few included in the 8). And then other times you do a map, and get multiple maps of even 2 levels higher than the area. Starting with a single map, even at 50%, doesn't mean you'll go anywhere. In fact, I'd say the odds are against you making it higher than 67 at all if you're only starting with 1 66.

Starting with more 66 maps just reduces the chance that you will run out of maps, which I think is a considerably better and more thought out plan than "start with 1 map, never look back!"

i have to disagree, you can get higher lvl maps anytime, its not bound to your lvl or map count at all.

also id rather take my chances with one map, then farming for hours for 5+ lvl66 maps and then end up selling em coz shitload of 67+ dropped.

also with +quantity there is ALWAYS better map drop chance inside map rather then outside!

I understand your logic as well, but also I don't agree with it! Of course there is a better map drop chance inside a map than in docks for example, but maps are limited whereas docks farm is unlimited. And I don't know what you mean by "you can get higher lvl maps anytime," of course you can get higher than lvl 68 if you are in a 68 map (you can get as high as +2 from rares), but it doesn't mean you WILL get a higher level. You may also get the same level or lower!
