Searching stash through the website

Does anyone know how procurement works to search through your stash?

Like if I search through the text in html is that the same as what it does (eg. search for 'cyclone' gem)? I want to be able to search my stash on the website without using programs like this since I dont trust them.

the beauty of Open Source, is you can always look at Procurement's source code, and see :)

If I could read source code I would probably re-compile it myself and I wouldnt be asking. Not my forte
well as far as ready-made tools go, the best one yet IMHO, was PoE Helper.
not sure if it still works with the current iteration of the game, or Chrome.

there's also Looty.
though I found it too tricky for my taste.

I really need this too. My head is about to blow up from stash overload after merge.

A better search tool is PoE Procurement. It takes a while to load a large stash the first time but after that it reads the changes faster and has some nice statistical analysis tools to help you determine your net worth in PoE. Also has a fantastic function to create your WTS items for your shop.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

I dont want to use any program, web extension like poe helper, or anything created by someone who does not work for GGG as part of what I use for accessing the PoE website or the game. Im not looking for a 'tool' to do it for me, I was asking a more technical question... wrong forum I guess
