21 points - Build foundation 54 points - Stacking Life We have the following stats: 82% increased maximum Life 2.5% of Life Regenerated per Second 25% block 25% to all Elemental Resistances 8% to Fire Resistance At this point, no specific weapon nodes are taken and no playstyles are established. From here its a choice between 2 paths: - You take Resolute Technique and have more equipment and playstyle choices. Equipping BoR and any 2x 1h weapons is a good option. We can save currency for critical gear and a decent rare dagger (or Bino's). - Go straight into critical pathing and build DPS, providing you have the equipment to back it up.
RT pathway
80 points - Completing the Ranger tree
94 points - This is the end of the RT path, not a single crit node taken! From here we drop RT and build in crit and hopefully have the equipment to back it up. Follow the main tree in the guide to complete. The order i'd follow is: 1. Twin Terrors 2. Swift Precision 3. Disembowelling 4. Deadly Precision + Cruelty
Crit Pathway
83 points - Taking all the major crit nodes 97 Points - Completing the Ranger tree From here we travel the final route up the Templar pathway, collecting Athleticism, the Purity of Flesh wheel and finally the Holy Fire wheel So many strikes within one breath. New version of the build added:
triple buff auto-curse build I overlooked the auto-curse combo of HoT-CoH-curse at first because i wasn't dealing lightning damage. I have since learnt that the "adds #-# lightning damage to attacks" in the HoT gem is enough damage to shock enemies on crits. As it turns out, this combo is now the number 1 way to curse enemies will soon be a permanent part of this build. I will test at Atziri to see the feasibility of it at end game i also added blind to the HoT but the gem is too low level to see the effectiveness key changes: - added HoT-CoH-AM-blind to the gemsetup - Dropped the Holy Fire wheel (increased burning damage) and chose Sovereignty instead to accomodate the extra buff - HoT requires more INT than any other gem, so i had to pick a +30 INT node - mana is now 84% reserved and leaves 83 mana, i have to be more careful about being OOM So many strikes within one breath.

Rewrote the guide and made the following changes:
- replaced faster attacks for WED. i knew WED offered better DPS, but i was concerned about reflect. After some tesing i came to the conclusion that reflect is still manageable. - Introduced a HoT auto-curse 4 link set in both versions. I took out the Holy Fire wheel and selected Sovereignty to accommodate the reserved mana. - made new screens with new dps values: The Normal Set 199k dps with full charges 142k dps with no charges 295k max solo dps The Advanced Set 420k dps with full charges 303k dps with no charges 626k max solo dps So many strikes within one breath.

So i leveled my duelist to 51 this weekend and im really liking it so far.
It sucks that i don't have the currency to buy a bino's. Im hoping i can find a dagger that will help my until i get one. |
