How many people will be lucky to play this game on aug10th??

Im new, and my 1st this is, but I doubt Ill be in beta even tho I want to) plus its only about a 100 at first, I'm sure there are other people that deserve to beta this)
I wonder how many accounts there in comparison to the number of regular forum members. We'll all get in at some point I suppose, be that closed beta or open beta.
It’s quiet down here... :)
I think that all forum members will have their chance. Some of accounts are fake, some are abandoned.
The main question is how long beta testers will stay in POE, and how many of them
will help to find bug's ect... I mean there is some group of people that will want only play without thinking about any improvements.
That is the problem with all betas. Half of the people will play just a couple hours. The good thing is that they can just invite more people since the inactive players won't be there stressing their servers.

I'm definitely not that kind of person, you can expect meticulous findings and constructive suggestions if you invite me to beta...
Beta testing is crucial to the success of the game.If there are people playing the beta just to try the game, the only thing that they will be doing is being in the way.

Exactly. I been in few betas and lot of people wanted to be in just to be in the first wave or try the game then discard it.

This is not the goal of a beta. Beta are made to find bugs, rush every single thing possible to find those nasty problems.

Yes, I agree 100% with you. I been in a few betas as well and made the same experience.

just found this game recently and looking up to test it. All information on this site looks pretty good.
Hope i make it in the beta to test how good...
Well, Considering it will be a free to play game, it isn't like holding back beta slots will impact sales in any kind of way. With that being said, They'll probably open the flood gates. I figure they will have a massive beta to try and get it right before people get their hands on the live version. About the only thing that could be detrimental to this game would be a bad launch.

I have high hopes though. Look at League of Legends. GGG is following that exact method and it appears to work well in all markets in the world.
