Currency drop rates leaked, thanks taiwan again.

But exalts are not used for yolo exalt

Huge majority of exalt use is yolo exalt actually. I've done that many many times but only a few times did I ever eternal.

That might change with the the expansion though. Masters will allow you to pick stats for less than an exa which will hugely cut down on exa use. Eternals will go up in value because of that.

Utterly amazed that this hasn't turned into a SFL thread by now.
Only surprising piece of info was the eternal:exa ratio. People thought it was at most 10 times rarer, not 50 times.

Nothing wrong with currency droprates. Would be nice if vaal orbs dropped more often though, I miss the old rate when they were released.

GGG always forces diversification. If people mine data and start all going for the same type of currency or same build or same whatever, they're just going to rebalance to make people spread out. Why can't people just play the fucking game and have fun instead of trying to squeeze 2.3 alts/hour efficiency out of their farming process? I blame Kripp for all that theorycrafting bullshit. Stop thinking so much and just play to have fun. If you've made this your job then you're doing it wrong.
To people that think that drop rate is correlated to price, dont forget in the equation there is 2 things.

Offer and demand.

Doesnt really matter drop rate if you dont consider the demand

I can only think of one solution to this: Items could only be mirrored once. (like using a Vaal Orb, it would make the original "locked" as well)

I like how you say could. That is correct. But now that hundreds of mirrored items float around everywhere and do not follow the same rules, it's too late.

Or make sick new game mechanic: Mirrored items require lvl 95 to equip.
That will halt 90% the rmt community as well.

Mirrors are not the only source of mirrored items.

Here are some interesting things you can derive from this data:

The most common drop we are given is a transmutation orb. 624930 transmutation orbs drop for each mirror that drops, on average. If the peak server capacity has been 100000 people lately, then in the average time it takes 1 person to drop 6.25 transmutation orbs, a mirror should also drop for someone.

I remember reading somewhere that the developers thought a mirror dropped every 3 to 4 days, but it should be much more common with as many people as are playing now. Eternals drop 30 times more frequently than mirrors, so on average, every time you find a transmutation orb, 5 people have found eternals. That helps put the 'why are so many people able to eternal/exalt' question into perspective.

Demand differs from droprate because demand is based part on the availability and part on the utility the orbs. It is interesting that exalted orbs trade and drop ratios are almost identical 30 exalted: 1 chaos, whereas blessed orbs drop ratio is 1 blessed:6 chaos and in trading its something crazy like 2 blessed:1 chaos.

16 alteration orbs can vendor up to 2 fusing orbs which should trade for no less than 1 chaos, that's a 16 alt:1 chaos ratio, whereas the drop rate is 10 alt:3 chaos. This is no doubt tempered by the fact that IDd magic items can produce additional alteration orbs. But what can be determined from some of these statistics are floor and ceiling trade limits, as per alteration orbs [16:1, 10:3]. If a person never IDs their magic items and doesn't trade, who knows, maybe 10 alts are worth 3 chaos to them because that's how often they'd naturally find them.

The rarest of orbs drop in the following ratios:
Blessed/GCP 1:6 (chaos)
Regal 1:8
Exalted 1:30
Divine ~1:49
Eternal ~1:1652
Mirror 1:49560

Yay maths. Let's say an exalt drops on average every 200 hours of play. An exalt is also 1600 times more rare than a mirror. This means a mirror drops on average every 320k hours. If we further assume that on Rampage there are 10k people logged in at any time (rough estimate), this means 240k hours are played on Rampage every day. This means a mirror drops every 32 hours in Rampage.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
