One day I'll be able to free those gigabytes for pr0n. One day I hope to be that strong.

BUT THE WILL OF A TEMPLAR IS STRONGER!!!

Yes, because we all know that the most important part of an Action Role-playing Game is the visuals and sound.

This is completely unrelated to this thread but I just wanted to chime in to say that I think sound is often an extremely underrated aspect of game development. Solid sound assets can really make everything you do in the game that much more satisfying. Sounds need to have oomph and feel like they have some actual impact behind them. It adds a lot, at least to me.
This goes for animations also. I want to feel like I am striking actual physical beings, not walking hitboxes. The right mix of animation/aesthetic/sounds can make this happen. It helps the game feel that much better.

I play nearly all my games on mute :D
Marvel Heroes Rulez! lol , has a cow level at least - and a super cow level now too =) the "moo mooooo moo, mu mu, mu?! muuuu!!!" is present, even an amulet that has a chance to mooo drops there. And it's getting better and better day after day.

POE also Rulez!

Diablo(3) - ¯\(°_o)/¯ died the moment it came out.

Funny thing is...

I actually went to see the D3 forums after and...

Most popular thread on EU was "This game is dying..." and it has 3 pages of replies in 18 hours and on US some complaint about gems and it's 6 days old and has 7 pages.

With all those millions of copies sold.

Now here, some dude makes a random troll thread and gets 10 pages in 20 hours.

Didn't this one naysayer just state that forum (in)activity implies for a dead game?

Went to the D3 forums after reading this post, was not disappointd.

Quote from said thread:

"
This game has been slowly dying and it's fundamental reasons need to be addressed if there's any hope of returning it from the brink.

Boredom. People are both bored (at the staleness of the current meta game) and frustrated at the seemingly endless fight against RNG.

Sounds familiar.

Anyway, if you look at it rationally neither D3 nor PoE is dying. I don't even understand why this imaginary war between the two games is still going on.
the world has like thousands of MMOs - but it seems there isn't enough space for two ARPGs to coexist ...

Lmao, D3 devs gave their little finger and the player base took the whole hand... and they're still not happy because no guaranteed BiS. Took a look at the d3 ptr patch notes and might give the game a few weeks playtime again after the big (ladder?) patch.

I just can NOT understand the mentality "If something exists (within in a game), I must be able to obtain it or it's a bad design catering only for nerds. (Random death threats of the game unless you do exactly as I tell you)."

GGG is still holding their ground pretty well, even if the master crafting is a slippery slope...

About the funding thing... People, look at the supporter list at credits. Those are just the gold and exalted supporters (and above) just from the beta and then there are the bronze, silver, open beta, regal etc and supporters after release.

GGG is a small company and just those fundings should be enough for years to come. Torchlight 2 was a commercial success as well and enough to fund Runic Games and has less players than PoE has.
It's blizzard dude. Many people auto buy their games. I did. Also auto bought RoS expansion and only play one week.

I honestly don't know how GGG can pay their employees being no name and survive via donations but whatever not my problem, for now, this is best game i played.

more juice to GGG
Poe is much better. I hate myself for buying D3 wich turned into a game I don't enjoy. If Poe keeps it's standards there will be no reason I would buy D4 If it will ever exist. So in the end they can trick you once but they can't fool you forever.

Via us HC supportes and all other supporters and Uber supporters like @Charan, who donated like 30 K dollars already probably, @GGG private sponsors, @Chinese markets an other asian markets, @GGG's life savings they have putted in.

Best regards, Fary :)
GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever.

This is coming straight from the heart <3
D3 will keep *dying* until PvP arena comes.

But when it comes, for the first time the influence of WoW design on D3 will pay off; because it will be so fucking awesome and it will get lively again.

1v1 2v2 3v3 D3 arena. I will probably cut my LoL time significantly once it comes.

So far PoE balance can not handle a PvP, but I guess in the future they will have a look at it. But I think PoE will stay a PvE oriented game, with little PvP for the laughs.
