Diablo 3 is dead - Blizzard confirmed
There was a D3 RoS livestream Dev Q&A today on gamespot twitch account, less than 1k viewers.
I'd say pretty dead. All's well in the world. Anyway to me D3 has been dead for a while, actually here's a picture representing how it went: ![]() Oblivious

"Why are the skeletons gurgling and laughing like the Three Stooges? I don't remember them having vocal cords, a tongue, or lips in Diablo 1.." >Extreme headache from all the flashy useless audio and visual strobe lights "Who the fuck would do this to another person." "How did they make any money with this." /Exits One day I'll be able to free those gigabytes for pr0n. One day I hope to be that strong. BUT THE WILL OF A TEMPLAR IS STRONGER!!! " You willingly distort the meaning of "fact". I find "Eminem - The Monster (Explicit) ft. Rihanna" to be pretty enjoyable and "Rihanna - Don't Stop The Music" is rather nice to dance to. Popularity is just popularity, it says little about whether or not something is good or bad. This message was delivered by GGG defence force.

" Yes, because we all know that the most important part of an Action Role-playing Game is the visuals and sound. This message was delivered by GGG defence force.

" This is completely unrelated to this thread but I just wanted to chime in to say that I think sound is often an extremely underrated aspect of game development. Solid sound assets can really make everything you do in the game that much more satisfying. Sounds need to have oomph and feel like they have some actual impact behind them. It adds a lot, at least to me. This goes for animations also. I want to feel like I am striking actual physical beings, not walking hitboxes. The right mix of animation/aesthetic/sounds can make this happen. It helps the game feel that much better. Since when did gamers engage themselves in sales and finances of the company..you're a player or consumer at best. If you want to concern yourself with those things then go get a job which makes you're efforts relevant. Other then that stick to playing games kiddo

D3 served its purpose. It was its failure at launch that lead me to PoE, and I've never looked back. Even got a refund for D3.

Funny thing is...
I actually went to see the D3 forums after and... Most popular thread on EU was "This game is dying..." and it has 3 pages of replies in 18 hours and on US some complaint about gems and it's 6 days old and has 7 pages. With all those millions of copies sold. Now here, some dude makes a random troll thread and gets 10 pages in 20 hours. Didn't this one naysayer just state that forum (in)activity implies for a dead game? |
