Real Money for In-Game Currency, and Microtransactions

I'm pretty sure i know the answer to part of this, but I thought that I would get the official policy on this. I am one of many jobless people who love path of exile; i have noticed that there are sites offering to buy currency, which in theory would be nice so that i could finally afford some more stash tabs. I assume, however, that this would be against the rules, as most online games don't allow buying OR selling of in game currency. It would however be nice if there were ways to earn micro-transactions without real money. Some sort of method that would be too annoying for those with the money to do, so they would still support the developers and pay for the micro-transactions.

That being said, I have two questions. First, what is the official policy on buying/selling in game currency? Second, will there ever be a method for those of us with no income to earn stash tabs and other micro-transactions without using real money?

There are also official contests (run by GGG) that you can participate in and win prizes.

GGG has been known to transfer GGG-gold from one player to another when they're absolutely sure it's on the up and up and no buying/selling/cheating is going on.

1, Buying currency or any other items for real money is not allowed. Buying some kind of in-game service for real money is not allowed. Any kind of RMT is basicly not allowed.

2, There are some competitions happening here and there (the last one was screenshot competition, prizes were in game GGG gold) also the current races that are happening have some prizes prepared for random people that will reach certain level. (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/962797)
And the upcomming 3 month leagues will get you a special microtransaction if you manage to get 5 challanges done and another one with 8 challanges completed.

I highly doubt they're gonna implement an option that will let you buy micro-transactions using in-game currency. It's already a free game, a great one at that. To keep up with development costs they would need to sell these micro-transactions using real money. I also think that they're already generous enough to give us 24 character slots, which in turn can be used as extra "stash tabs" a small one, but still useful.

Why are you playing games when you have no job/money? Makes no sense. This game survives on donations so giving away the one thing that helps bring them in, stash tabs, also makes no sense.

Real money trade with third party is bannable.
