Restrictions, Rules, Filters, etc.

As I am sure a "no rule" system will be (or already is being) abused, there will most likely be some sort of system implemented.

But who differentiates between "MyDickIsEnormous" and the real character "DixieNormus" (which made me chuckle for quite a while, btw).

I guess there is no real way to automate it, and some poor soul at the end of a "report inappropriate name" function will have to toss a coin.

Other than that - /ignore will take care of most problems imo.

I'm gonna whack my two cent's in on this.

Today I was messaged by a random person telling me

'People like you should be perma muted'

Because, I'd defended myself against a complete moron who was provoking me in the first place.

I swore, in an unfiltered chat, on an 18+ game that's full of gore/violence/sexual content and this random person had the sheer ball's to tell me, she didn't want her 12-13 year old children seeing that kind of language in a game.....

I'M SORRY!? BUT WHEN DID YOU LET YOUR 12-13 YEAR OLD KID PLAY AN 18+ GAME!? XD Or let them watch porn when their 12-13? (I know thats a bit extreme but yeah)

Quite frankly i'm sick of this censored bullshit and not being able to say what I feel is required or emotionally dragged into a conflict.

Honestly... a scenario in my head popped up was, if I was banned for swearing in an unfiltered chat room on an 18+ game.. would the 12-13 year old kid's be banned for breaking the term's of content viewing? xD

This. If you're 36 and want that kind of crap in a game, I question whether your brain developed properly.

Offensive character names can go to hell. Optional chat filter would be great.

I mean honestly ShitDickTits and AnalFuck100 are just as boring and uncreative as Killer1337 and DarkKnight999, oh let's not forget XXXSEPHIROTHXXX or whatever.
