Alt F4 is Cheating? - Solutions!

Instant log-out is a problem, because as well is it allows players to avoid their stupid mistakes, which SHOULD cost them their HC chars (that's the whole point of HC, right? One mistake = you're dead), it also prevents deaths from disconnections and game crashes (which are plenty). Disabling it would stop retarded out-of-game save cards (I have no idea how GGG could even say they like it... anything that can be done from outside the game and affects it is just plain stupid, and is basically just a bad design - not a feature) but ALSO would make lag spikes and crashes (so plenty) way more severe.

So because GGG like being cheaters (hey i do to but i have never used it to not die... most likely cause i play in SC) its ok is what some people are saying

If you can cheat like this other cheats should be allowed can't make up some bullshit rules like that


Another game i play has something that if you do anything to logout of the game other then using a tile on the ground that is blue it will leave your char on the server for 5mins

This may seem bad to you but there are some things the game does to try to not kill you (but your still dead if you can't handle what your doing)

1. You exit without being on the blue tile so your char is still where you logged out
2. Server takes control with lag settings and puts your char into a stone like npc that uses anything most npcs can/will use (potions recall scrolls cast spells etc)

This is mostly the same but if you did this so close to death you may still die (or if your pots didn't heal as much damage as your taking... no cheating bros)

I think something like this would be fair just because you can d/c or what not


Just make some sort of lag control that makes your char have npc control (or something along these lines) so its as if your char is an npc fighting mobs he iwll use flasks he will cast your skills he will stop to regen etc

After 5mins if your char is alive then it logs out if you come back before it logs out it unstones them and you take control again


Adding on to this as for other types of cheats (afk botting for one)

There is a npc that randomly pops up by your char at anytime he sees fit to ask you questions if you do not answer him you will be ... lets just say for the matter of this game temp banned for botting

Keep in mind i was p2p on this game for 7 years and there is no such thing as *hacks* on this game (or at least ive never seen/heard or anything like that)

There is only one way to prevent people from ALT+F4, and that is to put a timer on your character when you quit the game, but this also puts a timer on you if you disconnect or your game crashes and they dont want to do that. So they balance the game around the fact that people can ALT+F4, so you better get used it. Either you ALT+F4 yourself, or you dont, no matter what your choise is, some people will do it and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Hf.

Actually, those "Alt+f4 to [ACTION HERE]" things that they're doing are only bluffs. Alt+f4 is actually a shortcut that closes a program. Basically, these people are just trolling others.

The best solution is just to NOT listen to them; they're crying "wolf"... pure and simple.

he couldnt cut it in 1month hc made it to 60

now he has 1 char left in legacyhc and is pissed cause he couldnt log out in time

why do we ppl like this give a platform

this game is a d2 reference d2 had the logout mechanic thats why chris is fine with it

D2 also had tree-based skill system. We have gems in PoE. What the heck? D2 also had item sets. And runes. And this is not D2.
