And then the "Cheaters" open task manager and manually kill the process. Or better yet, they make a shortcut to do it for them, and tie to to a single key. Blocking the Alt-F4 hotkey is utterly pointless when that happens. In effect, Alt-F4 still happens without Alt-F4 being pressed. Alt-F4 terminates the game gracefully, i.e. it gets a chance to tell the server that it has been closed. However, when your internet connection is gone or when your PC freezes how is it supposed to send the signal to the server? You will have to wait for the server-side timeout. Alt+F4 is there to get you out of situations where you screwed up or were desynced into oblivion. It doesn't help with technical problems. Returning to OP, the problem is the state of the balance around it. POE is BALANCED? Labirinth boss in 72 map is worst than 3 bosses in the lvl 78 map. A blue devourer is worst than most bosses. .... A good state should be: alt+f4 is hard to manage for GGG, it's allowed but should not to be considered for balance, and is not really manner. If you consider the snapshotting, it was been allowed for years, now they are removing it. I also consider it a "cheating". RMT is not allowed, but is cheating too. The fact is, top players often use all the exploits to stay in the top, they are really good? The game is competitive? Answer is no! Nice Idea, like an "Ethereal Flask", You become immortal for like 5 or 10 minutes, or with some penalty after, can't do anything or gain exp during effect, just move or teleport in the village.
