better artist. harder bite.

better.
artist.

bite.

uniqueness can be gained through exclusivity (that which is most different to all other entities) or inclusivity (that which is the same as all other entities). however, grammarians had it wrong when they said something is either unique or it's not, it cannot be more unique. this is incorrect, as uniqueness is scaled relatively between these two dichotomies. there cannot be absolute uniqueness through exclusivity (as it maintains the common ground of existence), nor can it be gained through inclusivity (nothing can have all the qualities as all other entities). strangely though, and most children learn this at least by the end of high-school, humans reach uniqueness through inclusivity, because no two humans are born with the exact same set of qualities, not even twins. It is through mimicry that our true differences shine unintentionally. The most unique human is the one that doesn't try to assert his/her unique properties.

the better the artist the harder they bite.
the better the artist the harder they bite.

Sir, what kind of drugs have you been taking and where can I get some?

It's not a Diablo clone. Not really. Diablo did invent the ARPG style we know today, so in a sense yeah, but it's not really a Diablo clone like other games actually try to clone Diablo. It innovated beyond Diablo.

Also, you shouldnt pick up everything you see and identify everything. You should only pick up some items and identify the items you want to use.

Idk man, the button setup is the same, the health and mana globes are pretty much exact copies, the character creation screen is very close to that of Diablo2's. The grfx engine and some minor differences in the UI, maybe some of the sounds might be different. There may be a lot of differences between this and Diablo if you really wanna split hairs but it's pretty much a clone. It's not like they copied the code from Diablo1-2 or anything but It'd be bullshit to say that the devs didn't play the hell outta D1-2 a hell of a lot more than the devs of D3 did. Really though it's sad to say that this is more of a clone of D1-2 than D3 is but true none the less.
It's hard to argue there aren't influences all over the place. But I wouldn't say it is a clone. PoE has a lot of unique mechanics. The flask system, the skill tree configuration, the skill gems and socketing system, the currency system, and so on. Sure, at the core, the game has a lot in common with D2 / D1. In my mind though, there is enough to differentiate itself.

Have you removed Asus ROG/GameFirst yet?
Lazarus may have put a number next to his name as a disguise, but we all know he's here to twist our minds so Diablo can have a new body! That's ok though, any of the skull related microtransactions also remove your character's brain, making you immune.

EDIT: It sounds like you're enjoying PoE though, on a more serious note. Keep enjoying :)

If you ask me....I liked these APRG games in this exact order

7. Torchlight 2
8. Sacred 1
9. Torchlight 1
10. Sacred 2

No Dungeon Siege love? 1 and 2 were great. 3 was a turd.

Oh thanks, I totally forgot about them. I played 1 many times and it was amazing, but I never finished the 2nd DS. Maybe, because I managed to get the game only last year and it was already outdated.
diablo 2 + skill tree + x1000 rng + x1000 time waste + trading simulator + RMT + desync = poe

poe is much more than diablo 2, but still I prefer diablo 2

How can a game be outdated? Unless youre a graphics *bleep*.

games can't really get outdated if there's nothing like them,I know of no games that play like the Dungeon siege series with its party system plus ARPG mechanics.
Well of course this game is inspired by a card trading game! No big surprise.

I am not, but in some games I have problems to tolerate the graphics nowadays and DS2 is one of them.
