Diablo?

I'm a bit surprised not to see this word tossed around more in forums and chat since playing but is this not a totally obvious Diablo clone? I'm not complaining though, don't get me wrong, Bliz botched up D3 pretty bad, especially on release. I'm just kinda curious if a lot of people acknowledge that this game is basically just most of what D3 should have been.


Inventory space is horrible, that's my only big complaint so far. Stash space is huge but I find myself having to run to town every 5 mins just to clear out my loot. Also the system of needing ID scrolls for currency makes me unable to ID most items that are not identified. To me that system seems slightly flawed though I do find the idea of using items as currency/trade to be interesting and unique.

I'm actually just curious though if the developers of this game actually had aspirations to make their own version of Diablo and if so then was it because they could not stand waiting for D3 any longer or because they seen D3 in development and the direction that it was going in and was so turned off by that, that they decided to make a "what D3 should have been" game.

Yes, this is a diablo clone, everyone knows it. The developers were inspired by Diablo 2 and Magic the Gathering mostly.

Yha this game is totaly diablo. It's diablo 2.5 with a shit load more of evreything.


Thare are some massive diffrences for sure but yes this game is moddeld after D1 and D2 .


As far as your loot concerns seems like u are doing it wrong. Takes a bit of time to learn but in PoE some wight and some blue and some yelow items are more valubale than others. Once u get the hang of it , it works pretty darn well .

rogue was so fun. I once found the amulet of yendor! I died after going back up only three floors from where I found it... to starvation.
