Clearly some of you haven't taken the time to actually utilize it. Don't try and buff or nerf something until you have actually tried it. At the very least google potCG builds and see the amazing that is this staff.

You named 5 uniques, abyssus has 10~ hp, alberon's only scaled well when you have over 700str? even then 5uniques in your build usualy bringd down your hp by alot, some of those have STR sure but not actual hp so looking at them they give 10-50hp max, wearing abyssus i dono if that will be too dangerous depends on your hp level and if you can aford good hp gear evrywere else.

you can reach 22k with a meginords +abyssus with a good 2hander prob. even wearing all blue gear a good wep and meginords.

people can reach 22-30k singletarget with a decent 2hand wep and blue gear, that means you can have a shield and you just got 100% stronger, the ishue is how low the dps is with all those uniques and 800str. 22k singletarget is extremely low, id be surprised you can manage atziri addphase IF the place was not even capped by fire res and other such things.

I have a char with over 800 str to test shit like this and i just find that staff way too low in dps endgame, the staff could easily use a few interesting mods to bring it up onpar with 2handers. 20k~ for a 2hander endgame with gg gear,is low..,especially considering that is single target. Facebreaker who lets you use shields lets you gain phys so much easier then this staff does and you can get SO much much more dps....so...much dps with facebreaker. (friend's random facebreaker lvl 81 6k hp does over 50k... one of his rings is retarded bad like 3%ias 1-2 phys... always makes me laugh.


IF they don't want to buff the dps they should make it do something nice like +XX energy shield, people could try building it CI with STR on hybrid gear and it would let people do like facebreaker, stack that double Phys gem baby, maybe not CI but something to open hybrid possibilities would be awesome.

Guess its time to try to make a lowlife PoTcg build see how that works out, the ias could be nice, I just find its far from strong enough endgame with top gear ( 800-900 str abyssus and decent flat phys) who knows maybe stacking AOE will work out nice for clear speed, il just need to figure out how to down bosses, ideas? i will Have to try COE instead of abyssus if i go ES, should be nice with the leech, no STr from chest + helm will be something to think about tho.

I love this staff, I did a cycloner in Inv with first one that died due to my carelessness and being bored, (Hurr let us try and face lmp Map devourer = T-T-TRIPLE KILL is what happened) pretty stupid of me because it was picking up at the time, BM was starting to not hurt as much and the damage was working well)
I think for physical it will become better as more options become available. (abyssus is a terrible choice if you wanna stay alive, the downside is just too much in hardcore leagues, and BoR with no shield hurts too) Im still hoping for a added physical damage gem or maybe who knows, my dream of Stave Dual wield keystone might one day come true (with no chest armour allowed for no triple 6link, Ill keep on dreaming until GGG says otherwise, also it would fix all the problems with staves without the need to change the nodes), who knows.
I wonder if it will need a change or not. The next 4 month leagues Ill probably build an area of effect oriented one and have loads of fun with gigantic spells.
GGG must know I love the staff cause as you may have guessed by now, I got 2 of those from race raffle, one even came in the same tab/from the same race that got me my 14 point one.

Clearly you havent made a build around to check its shittyness.

The staff will get you to maps and you will be able to do a few of them, but you will not be able to do the endgame with it properly.

It's an ok unique. I reached 1100 str and had full physical gear(12-26 physical ammy, both rings with around 10 average physical, meignord, abyssus,16% str boots, str on all gear, max physical + str gloves).

Do note that physical damage is more important than strength/dex. I used a astramentis while leveling and it didn't even come close to the 50 str+ huge physical ammy. Same thing with the 100 str gloves vs 40~ str + physical gloves.

The str made the HP of the build decent so that was the main benefit it had over a typical two hand build. You do lose lots of gear slots to uniques though and need very specific stats which makes it both expensive and the HP not as impressive as it can be.

Other then that though I spent enough to fund a much better two hand build(many many exas). I wanted to test the limits of pillar and my conclusion is that it will never exceed a two hand build for the same price.

If that's true, the person probably designed it back when two hander damage was crap, which does make sense. Maybe they could revisit it due to the 2H buff. I doubt it though.

I wonder though if the base staff got a flat damage increase already from the 2H buff. It probably did I guess. I don't know, I forget exactly what they did with two handers, been a while.

Pillar got buffed on release along with two hand changes. It has already been changed.

friend of mine facerolled 78 maps with 24k cyclone dps.. you guys obv. have no clue :) (he also had 6k hp with 500 life regen and like 40% block)

This staff it's good. It's almost as strong as marohi.
