" Pillar of the Caged God (PoTCG) is not terrible. It appears that you have a gripe with the staff, and I actually have a gripe with the staff too. My gripe is that the staff is overshadowed by another common unique item and therefore using PoTCG is not "efficient". This other unique being Facebreakers. I think that PoTCG should be buffed because using it prevents a character from holding a shield and losing potential additional block chance, life, stats, and resists. " I like some of your ideas on mods, but I think the even cooler affixes could be added. Perhaps attacks with PoTCG could trigger a a percent chance to proc a Brutus Chain Attack - "Caged God" theme. If I remember right, PotCG is a supporter unique, and again if I remember right, GGG is reluctant to change those unless they start fucking with the game balance. So good luck getting it changed, especially since it's balanced enough if you build around it to not warrant a change.

i dont see how facebreaker blows pillar out of the water like ppl claim.
at 500 str (easily attainable) pillar goes even with facebreaker in terms of %physical increase. not to mention it gives a nice slab of flat phys which of course is vital to these builds, and has an attack speed of 1.25, as in 25% higher than fists, with some nice extra AS from dex to boot. if you're going to justify using facebreaker imo u have to at least go all in on block. shields arent that great aside from the block. It's like a Facebreaker, except you can use some Crit, and you can use more skill gems, like ST and Glacial Hammer. So, it's not bad. It can reach MORE damage than a Facebreaker if you have the right gear.

If poe had more fun mods like this i would not be posting here right now or even on break playing Grimdawn instead of Poe, cast on prock's were one of the most fun things in d2. COC is stupid imo, only due to the insane lag it gives, literally evry party hates COC you get punished for building COC if you ever want to party think again, game needs more fun low % "stuff happens" this one would be so nice especialy if the monkey scaled based on lvl then the staff would go from just a not-optimal staff you can build around if you feel like being UN-optimal but having fun, into WOAH IM SPAWNING MUNKAYS PEW PEW, hell maybe people could start melee summoners.( always wanted to make one but domblow alone is boring skill for aoe especialy.) hit me up @sarrow lets have fun :D
