Divinity original sin

i so want to play this game , now if i only had some money left..

anyway the game is released right? no beta bullshit and things like that? How is the development going , patches and all that.I feel its a bit expensive imo mostly because it seems to lack content or am i wrong. I am going on holidays in a few day and i cant afford rushed expenses so maybe i should w8 a bit ?

Anyway this game impressed me since the first moment , its rare that i wanna play a game so much :p

^ Yes its the fully released version. The devs have been applying patches on a constant basis since the release last Tuesday. There are some minor bugs but nothing game breaking and its getting better by the day through community feedback.

Sell some Steam achievements or cards, or maybe a kidney? Either way, get this game.

Happy to have backed this on Kickstarter, and it's definitely one that proved its worth. Only a few hours in, and it's already a strong contender for my GOTY 2014.
Have you made a cool build using The Coming Calamity? Let me know!
Dug up a grave and 1 hit exploded my whole party. Laughed a lot then cried when I realized I hadn't saved for 30 mins. I had to put the game on easy. It seems the easy and normal difficulty of this game is like dragon age 2. Easy is way to easy and normals 3 times harder. A middle ground would be nice.

Did you play any of the Black Isle Studios cRPGs in the 90s? They were all pretty cutthroat like that, save early, save often :P

Played lots of baldur's gate 2 yeah. Thing is in that it was real time so you lost fast but could also win fast. So you could try something out real fast and see if it works or utterly fails. However this is turn based. Also I noticed when the difficulty is higher everything has more HP. So that mixed with turn based makes combat crazy slow. So loses are real slow and draining.

So kinda wish they went with pausable real time like dragon age. Any idea where I can buy some Pyro spells btw. Still have the first spells yet level 3 pyroness.

^ Heh BG2 was published by BIS but was actually made by Bioware. The BG's had real time with pause combat as did the Icewind Dale games (those were developed by BIS).

Fallout 1 and 2 were pure turn based I honestly prefer it that way, it felt more tactical and less twitchy. I know a lot of people prefer the real time with pause but for me personally that's kind of a deal breaker in these types of cRPGs. I'm really happy DOS went Turn-Based, i'm getting flashbacks of playing Temple of Elemental Evil from Troika.

Whats the deal with the new Dragon Age? Is it real time with pause or are they going full 3rd person arpg?

Seeing as its gone real consoley id say its pretty much like mass effect. Where you do most combat real time but some certain ability's with long cool downs you pause to cast. TBH the whole pause thing didnt really work so well for a third person game. Just felt annoying.

I couldn't agree more. The new one's vibe does look cool i'll admit that much but after the systems from the first 2..i don't know if its for me.

-Pyro and earth spells are sold by aruh the cat man.
-witch spells are sold by the merchant in the inn, u need to take the stairs up.
-water spells are sold in the market place from the potion girl

Imo, The game need to be played in hard because once you use fire spells and tactics you ll just win the game in easy.
