@grofire His cleave applies corrupting stacks as I said in my other post. You can either outleech, out flask or use a staunching.

Well avoiding his cleave is an option I guess. He can charge or spit out blood at you if you're too far(like gluttons).

suppose you are in SC.
suppose you just died to Dominus' second form or minions, or whatever.
suppose you enter the arena again.
suppose you need to run the stairs again, because you either don't have a portal open, or put one in a bad spot.
suppose it rains, when you do.
fucked.
Exactly what happened to me first time I did merc dominus... I swear it took me 20 times entering during the blood rain before I could even reach the top of the stairs...
(add to that : suppose you rely on ES instead of life, flasks are useless.)
Are you guys seriously complaining that a boss has zerging-unfriendly mechanics?
If you died you weren't ready.
Maybe go change out your gear or grind another level rather than repeatedly dying?
When I kill a man he stays dead.

I'm not complaining, especially since merc Dominus is totally optional, just saying that as a CI user, having died once automatically meant dying 15 other times because I entered the room at the wrong moment.

The whole thing can be solved by having flasks that remove bleeding. That's really all there is to it.
