Hold on to your hats this weekend.
I think it's pretty amazing what GGG has managed to do with PoE. For the last decade or so, major game companies have operated under the assumption that you can't succeed with niche games. You have to dumb down game mechanics in order to appeal to the masses. However, with PoE, I think we're starting to see a niche hardcore game about to explode into a massive hit, not by appealing to the masses, but by converting the masses into hardcore gamers! I'm pretty excited about all this. It's almost like I'm watching history happen right before my eyes!

i only learned about her when she appeared on The TGS podcast with Jesse Cox, TotalBisquit and Dodger. Honestly she came off a bit fat headed and really assy, though that's only my interpretation of what happened, plus i'm a bit of a fan for Jesse. Hopefully TB will make a new video of it now that it's in Open Beta as well and add his 800k+ viewers to it. Most folks that watch his videos check out the games at least once and he gave PoE a sterling video during alpha.

Sad part is as soon as she hits the game, the first thing she will probably see is someone whining about D3.

Not sure who she is but if she can bring more spotlight to PoE it's all good.

" As others have noted, you really didn't have to post that. There's a lot of really cool posting going on here -- glad to see others who have a vague idea who Felicia Day is! -- and this chick very well might bring us some great players. Not to make any comparisons, but her fanbase is probably a little more tasteful and intelligent certain other fanbases of quasi-famous people to show an interest in this game. Thanks for the thread, peachii...but it's time to put it away. Given how many nerdisms this woman has, it's also possible she'll give it a go for ten minutes or an hour and move on. Either way -- it was big news to me. Just making a facebook update about it got a lot of people on [myrealname]Book very interested in PoE of a sudden... If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
