Please stop adding more poorly optimized map mods

Ground effects were worse, but they are still impacting performance too much.
When night falls
She cloaks the world
In impenetrable darkness
Optimization is a never ending fight.

Giving option to use simplified versions on the other hand is an easy win.
Hope something is done, one way or another.

They do nothing to bother avoiding (except chilled, chilled is a PitA), even if you wanted to avoid the ground, your character is rarely on client where it is on server.

They are, and always have been ever since it was just burning ground; an FPS tax.

All of the ground mods do something. Burning ground is a pain for ES chars cos it stops your ES from regenning. Chilled you've already noted. Shocked ground is very dangerous cos of the dmg increase on it. And finally, this new desecrated ground might do significant dmg when standing on it (unlike burning) since so many of us have -60 chaos resist (just like the chaos clouds used to before they were nerfed). Even if they don't hurt much, they'll still be a concern for the hybrid life/ES chars for whom GGG removed the Suffering mod.

I agree Blood Magic should be removed, tho. Having mods that are very difficult to do as certain builds is fine, but there should never be a map mod that is literally impossible to do for any build.

Any way, we have half recovery and 0 recovery mods, do we really need an FPS taxing ES recovery ground effect?

We have temp chains mod, do we really need an FPS taxing slow ground effect?

We have monsters do extra damage mod, do we really need an FPS taxing +dmg taken effect.

Now chaos DoT mod removed and another fucking FPS taxing ground effect!!

A CI build absolutely cannot run a blood magic map.

Some hybrid builds had difficulty with chaos-over-time mod.


You don't see a glaring inconsistency?

What's even stranger, many of those hybrid builds would be more fucked with BM than with chaos-DoT mod, lol.

Yeah every ground effect,especialy shock,fucks my FPS and does overheat my GPU.Also greek internet should be really bad,cause i desync about 3/4 of any attempted attack(flicker strike).With cyclone it;s even worse.So much for 24mgbps ...

DIDNT you guys know ggg's way of improving the game is to just put more useless crap on the floor--- so now we have millions of bodies all with shiny blood effects leaking from them-- insane amounts of white items-- ground effects etc-- but agreed i try to avoid all ground effect mods on maps as it drops my fps too-- just did desecrated ground on 77 map-- very laggy... also we should be able to turn off extra gore-- shit is lame3
