Hyaon's Fury - Make it work!

Recorded a little Fraps video of parts of a 75 Plateau map (alch and go, nothing too interesting).

My PC is very old, so I can't record long gameplay sessions, I just put two little bits together.
First part is against normal monsters, second part against a more annyoing monster (rare lightning resistant rock golem, at least not curse immune).

You can see "Cast when stunned" Arcs flying out, and please ignore the bad quality and me hitting air sometimes, when I record, game isn't as fluid as usually. It lags like crazy, I had to lower the video settings quite a bit to even be able to play.

Imho the clearspeed is pretty nice, looks the same in 77-78 maps.

Gear and Gems:

Reave + Multi + WED + Lightning Pen + Conc Effect + Faster Attacks

Currently 16500 DpS, with another two "hidden" multipliers of around -80% lightning resist and serious shock chance during granite flasks.

Molten Strike and Concentrated Effect. 4 chances to shock each attack. Bosses always have 3
shock stacks, great for parties.
People saying the dps is bad obviously didn't bother trying.

You had a Multistrike there? I almost wanted to tell you to put MS in the Reave setup...

Anyway, looks like you've done it. The clear speed is a bit faster than with a physical tooltip Reave DPS, I've compared it with my own video.

How do you play melee without having the health bars on monsters? :P

The sword itself is slow.
The base type is slow, and the attack speed roll on mine isn't too great (8%).

And I have only one (!) attackspeed node in the passive tree (the notable in shadow start).
+ a bit attackspeed on my gloves, + Cruel Kraytin, + 20/20 faster attacks, + multistrike (lvl 19 I think).

As I'm not near any useful attackspeed nodes in the passive tree, it has to work like this (frenzy charges again would help here, but my witch is not as tanky as I hoped, so I'm still not sure if I will ever use them).

Must be the lightning penetration / Conductivity combination, as this is basically another damage multiplier (not shown in tooltip dps).

I don't understand this.
I have health bars in the top of the screen once I hit monsters (as it is by default), can/should I change this?

Melee desync situation means that health bars are a must, at least for me.

Im going to try and dual wield these things. Not sure about frenzy charges yet.

Ya i have two now and might want to dual wield. There are sword crit nodes!add some good dual crit nodes, maybe get crit chance up to 30-40?

usePassive skill tree build

I use hyaons. Full tank spec in talisman. Mainly for a higher basendamage to multiply. Reaves is a bad choice. I vote wild strike+multi+FA+lightning pen+WED+(added lightning or LOG or fortify, check your map). 20k armor with no pot and tabular rasa. Damage peaks out around 13k without lightning pen and 5+charges. 4800 hp atm. Build is versatile in gear. I have tri elemental crit foil. It is not better. Bino's is could be great or dual wield with dual strike on bosses for madder deeps.




Tree above currently. Can spec charges for damage. Cwdt blade vortex lgoh molten shell mandatory. I run as many cwdt/trigger gems as possible. Poachers mark with blasphemy and grace. If curse immune I run Purity of w/e needed and the carp +5max cold res shield cuz AA is to much to care. Can link gear if needed. I just farmed a astral plate 6L cardset. Now on easy content I use IIQ glove/boot (33IIQ) still max res and 4200hp. With high armor roll I could go baseline 30k armor no pot.

Try to link the melee attack with CoMK + Shock Nova and/or Arc. It's super fun.

There is.
Just dont use Frenzy Charges. This sword is OK then. But when you use frenzy charges, it turns into total piece of shit.
