D2 Scumbags

So there is a well known D2 site where people RMT on a regular basis and GGG could easily drop by there and get all of the evidence they need to pretty much kill 1,000 birds with one stone, but those people are still operating safely since alpha and closed beta.

I am just curious why these people are not banned. It seems like if you spent $50 or more on a supporter pack you are immune to bans or any sort of discipline. Either that or there is people from GGG who are associated with that site.

Oh no you certainly are not immune :) Just came off a month long probation.

Ive only spent a couple hundred, so im a little lacking in ban resist, couldnt quite cap it.

[Removed by Support] all the people I reported months ago were still online when I stopped playing. [Removed by Support]

How do you propose GGG gets the evidence? Most of you guys don't stop for 1/2 a second and use your head. GGG likely does not have access to view those players' IP addresses on different forums, and short of them posting all their in-game info for POE right on the board there really isn't anything GGG can do to get proof. Unless of course you're suggesting that GGG start banning people on RMT forums based on name alone...I can't forsee any way in which that could go badly...
I fully agree that people using sites (RMT ones incl. the D2 one) / macro's or other cheats should be banned. But what about those people who have an account on such a site which havent been used in ages or not have been used to trade in POE ?

I have an account on the D2 site many talk about but it has been inactive since before I started playing this game. The account has the same name as my POE Account (Granhammer). Last time I used it interacting with another player was december 18th 2012 to do a trade in D3. I then used my few coins on buying lottery tickets and the last was bought on the 7th January 2013. Since then I havent used the account...

I have nothing to hide but what about players like me ? Who might be "caught" for just having an inactive account or the ones who only uses the site for other games ?

I will repeat myself : I fully agree that people cheating /RMT'ing /macro'ing shoild meet the ban-hammer and I have done my share to report people for the above but nothing have never happened to those. Maybe because they were top players or big name streamers.

/Granhammer

Edit: A spelling mistake... and there might be others as english is my native language :)

If you aren't actively trading over there you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Well, there is an active trade/RMT section over there and a lot of them post their character and/or account names so people can get a hold of them.

It is not rocket science to see who is breaking the rules and GGG could easily have some of their support people go undercover like police and gather all the evidence they need to ban the appropriate people.

I guess it will be exactly like it was with D2 and GGG will turn a blind eye just like Blizzard did.

I hope GGG will do whatever they can to stop it and as I said I have nothing to hide as I used the site for only D2 & D3 purposes and stopped using the site 7th January 2013 and GGG are very wellcome to check my doings on the site :)

Step 1: create an account on ** ***

Step 2: make a thread selling your [insert expensive item here]

Step 3: claim thet you're "Mahesys" from Invasion league and you can be contacted by wispering @Khitaja

Step 4: tell GGG that Mahesys is trying to sell [expensive item] via an RMT site

Step 5: Mahesys gets banned for no reasons
