Diablo 3 : real money auction house - confirmed
Could be a nice idea. Always been farming items since i am a core gamer and like to push the game to the limit.
Making some money from time spent farming = Good idea. Plus they get some money to stabilize the game. "You Cant Tame The Beast"

I think that some might be looking at this from the wrong point of view. Take diablo 2 for example it is now a gold farming, item farming, hacked version of the great game it once was.
Blizzard is taking that into account now with the AH for money. Who will buy gold from someone when you can buy the item yourself through a verified and secure section that will not get you banned? Not only that aspect but look at if Blizzard takes a minimal fee of $0.10 per transaction (which in their press conference they stated it would be a set fee no matter what is sold) then they have that income that use to go to outside the company to put back into the company and help with more D3 development, GM positions and help keep D3 secure. Aside from even that making it online only will stop the droves of item hacks, speed hacks, etc, etc that plagued D2. Yes PoE does have the makings to be a great game and possibly a good challenge for D3 BUT with Blizzards track record on the Diablo franchise you can't beat. Who else releases a second game in 96 and has this much hype and buzz around a game almost 15 years later and the game STILL hasn't been released? This is the way games are going to be going and honestly I agree with this option over the Mini store aspect as it puts the money in the players hands as well as in the developers. To the person about the $200 virtual item and saying you should probably take a look at why you are playing a game.. Please tell me one person that if they did get that rare of an item and could sell it legally, would not be able or be in need of an extra $200 for doing something they enjoy? I still can't wait for PoH though Diablo 3 will be the game to beat in hack in slash. Here's hoping PoH can do it, if not I will enjoy my time with PoH and possibly play D3 as well. If you bought Gold in D2 you were a complete and utter moron... How F*cking hard is it to equip +% Gold Find? and +% Magic Item Find? It isn't and once you equip your +% magic item find you should find more of those sooner, add some small charms with similar effects... It takes less than 1 week to reach 1 million (with repairs, boss rushes). If you had problems finding Gold in Diablo 2 you should have went to the church where andy was and there was Gold all over... combine that with killing andy and looting her over and over (reach level 40 doing that and you should be set). Take some friends along, I don't understand the point in a RMAH just play the F*CKING GAME because you'll find what you need whether you think so or not, if you can't find something team up with people! The chances of coming across something good will be greater with more people!
I love virtual brutality so save it for the Mobs...

" Angry much? Wasn't saying I bought gold was supporting Blizz's idea for RMAH. As for the rest of your post not everyone has enough time to play for hours farming hence why they want to spend real money to get things. I farm, I need my money for my family so that is not me but if I can make a buck of people who don't have the time to do it awesome. |

No I was making a point, if you don't have time to play a game then play to the point where you can, it's like in Grand Theft Auto when you use the infinite ammo cheat (and all of the other cheats that make playing the game not as fun because you are over powered) then cruise through the game with your awesome over powered sh*t... It makes the experience tainted and if someone pays real money to do that to a game that they are planning to enjoy, they really don't know how to have fun.

The RMAH is the least of my concern, sure the ladders will be useless, but you can still have fun with good bros. I don't really see why all the fuss about it when really the most disappointing features are the consolidation of the games features that "Optimize" the gameplay.

" Agreed. People will have to accept that a provided service cost money. As a working induvidial I like to see my paycheck in the mail every month. Its the same here guys. Someone has to get paid for things to work. Real money action houses is a great move by Blizzard. Not only will they keep the cash flow for development and server maintenece. My guess is that this will also strike a blow against the gold/item seller market outside the game. And HELL if you dont want to use it then dont. No one is forcing you. It isnt a competition guys its a game. So what if someone has better gear than me. I wont be crying myself to sleep about it anyways. |

Not this again...you still find ways how to justify screwing the game for ALL the competitive gamers, in favor of all those who prefer to cheat instead of accomplishing something themselves...have fun in D3.
I choose to play arpg instead of a shopping simulator... |

" Especially when that shopping simulator, as you call it, is totally optional. Right. Happy Days Abound.
