top 3 games, so so very difficult to choose, I could do a top 3 games per genre and it would still be difficult, oh well:
I must say one of my favorite games and still the highest ranking of all times, afaik, is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Diablo II, I've spent countless days and nights in this game, playing each class through all difficulty levels. I'd have to say next is Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2, though I equally enjoyed "Defiance", SR2 is the one I've played for 3 endless days sleeping so little, being captivated more and more by the unfolding story until at long last it came to an end, it was an amazing experience which often makes me wonder just why most developers nowadays can't make games like they once did, makes me rather sad. I know in a couple days or hours I will think of this top 3 list and change my mind for there have been numerous great games I remember of fondly. |

1. A Link to the Past - First game I ever played. The gameplay still hasn't gone stale. The art was beautiful, and the music iconic. I will forever have very fond memories of this game.
2. Oblivion - Not necessarily the best ES game, but I think I've put more time into Oblivion than any other game I've ever played. I really liked the way Bethesda polished up the mechanics, although it was unfortunate that a lot of the raw feeling of Morrowind was absent. 3. Majora's Mask - I've been a bit of a Zelda fanboy all my life, and have played every game in the series to death. No other Zelda game achieved the originality of MM. The main quest was fantastic, the environments were vivid, the use of time was excellent, but the best part was the side quests. Collecting masks, and exploring elaborate side stories really set this one apart from the other games in the series. |
