How can the characters be exiles, if they are accepted by Wraeclast? Are the characters in towns also exiles - no? Then why call them exiles?
The same applies to the question "what is here?". Everything is space, so how can there be a "here"?

How Can Exiles Be Real If Our Eyes Aren't Real
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

We're playing exiles from the mainland. It's kind of a prison colony, like Australia was in the first round of colonization.

As annoying as she can be I don't think she is really 'weak'. Her solution to an arranged marriage she didn't like was to murder her husband so brutally she got accused of consorting with the unholy. It wouldn't have been easy for any 'true exile' to make her shut up even if they wanted to.

It's not an intellectual question. It's an obvious one missing the point.
Exile is always subjective. That is the stance GGG chose -- since this is all about leaving society (Oriath). Being an exile from society does mean becoming a native of somewhere else. The point was that Oriath's so-called civility is based on a corrupt theocracy. There is no room in such a sycophantic structure for free-spirited individuals such as the six Exiles -- the Scion should have died on the boat trip over. [Removed by Support] Or otherwise removed from the picture, because I don't see true Exiles putting up with her shit for long.
Either way, 'Exile' in 'Path of Exile' is used ironically, and always has been, because Path of Exile isn't about the Oriathan perspective of being outcast but of coming home to a land untouched by the poisoned pleasantries of Theopolis, a land that has proven several times it does not suffer delusions of civilisation for long.
As is well-known now, 'Wraeclast' means 'Path of Exile' in Old English, which might be a throwaway fact (naming conventions often are from the creators' perspective) but could also be read as this particular land being one used as a destination of exile before any other known purpose. This would indicate to me that being accepted by Wraeclast *is* to be seen as an exile not just by Oriath but essentially the rest of the world, throughout history.
Well, if it *was* an intellectual question, there's an attempt at an intellectual response for you. You're welcome.
Then I have a deeper context to the term "exile". Like asking, "how does one claim land"; "how does one banish another?". What is keeping the exiled from their land? Is it not the town's people becoming exiles to create the perspective of an exile? Are they not becoming animals to treat another as one? Who is jeering at the prisoners being electrocuted? Certainly it's not the "humans", with "emotions" and "sensitivity" - or is it?

That would require Dominus to attribute themselves with a psychical trait of beauty - something Dominus does not have.
Can you address the exile discussion? It's really important!

It's still too strange of a term, whether it be about how it's used in the context of being banished, or in the context of existing in a realm where rules are unmade through illusion and entrapment.
Call me stupid, but I feel that the term is lacking spinal depth.
