UNFAIR ACT 3 BEAR TRAP

I THink its pretty much OP , I died 3 times vs it last time with 1 k life in act3 normal I died in 1 second .


I DID 3 TIMES NOW IN THE LOADING SCREEN WITH HALF LIFE WHEN I PORTAL SCROLL AWAY THATS FKN UNFAIR

This game is not fair, learn to adapt and play better.

If you talking about the unique monster in Act 3 first map, that isnt too hard. You can see where he throws the bear trap, then just dont go that direction. If you die to it, it doesnt mean the bear trap is OP. Besides that monster hits pretty hard.

Yeah that monster is insane, specially if you play this game solo, like i do do in most cases. So yea POE is unforgiving my friend. You have to notice also, that it is still in Beta, so many things will change and improve and balance in the months to come. But still POE will keep testing us in the future and will be relentless to casual players. And this is good, cause it will keep you up for playing more and improve on these failures.

Came here to say basically this. Every time I encounter something in game that makes my think "god this is BS and unfair" I follow it up in my head with "working as intended."

Mods have already clarified that dying in a portal is not something they will be sympathetic about. Portal wasn't designed to be an escape from impending death.

Edit: Also, I only have 700ish life, and I did not die to the bear trap. I got caught in it and it scared the crap outa me, but I got away and avoided it from then on.
And that was with a melee templar. With crap gear. And extreme lag from playing on a 4 yr old laptop.

To be fair though, the mechanic of this particular mob is extremely unforgiving even by POE's standards. If he hits you once, there's a good chance he'll chain-root you and there is nothing you can do about it.

He'll die quickly enough and it is possible to evade him, still, it would not be unreasonable to prevent the chain-root from happening.

I was caught off guard my first time in ActIII and lost a HC ranger. Second time he almost got me again, but I got the better of him. I agree he is tough, but if you are ready he is not a problem.
