You have successfully deduced the gem is not ideal in your build! Congratulations! Now you can refrain from applying this conclusion to other people's builds.

If immortal call truly is better then the only thing i see this being good for is that it's an aura and blue

It's an aura that can affect you and your friends. It doesn't require endurance charges. It instantly starts regenerating your ES pool and raises your maximum ES by a significant amount, meaning that it actually refills your normal pool even faster than it would otherwise. IC makes you literally invulnerable for its duration. After a certain period, your ES will begin to regenerate. If you have no delay nodes, this could mean that you only get halfway through regenerating your ES by the end of the 7.5 second duration.

Vaal Discipline needs half the amount of souls Vaal IC does.

And... this is serious question: How many of you actually used Vaal IC gem ? You do know it doesn't make you invulnerable and it clearly is stated in the tooltip of skill ?

Gem states it makes you unable to die, the time of that process is increased by the amount of endurance charges used, i dont totally know if it reduces all damage get to 0 or if you just cant die but drop to low life.

It works similiar to rare monsters' "Other Allies Cannot Die" aura, so you can end up with 1 HP and you will be unable to die for the Vaal Immortal Call's duration. After it ends you will have 1 HP though, assuming that you won't heal yourself before. And as you're taking damage, ES regeneration will be delayed.

but it doenst work with cwdt, right?
