No, the graphics weren't "so good". they were ok for the time but ofcourse 'cartoony' if you want to call it that. The point I was making is the fact that the graphics aren't good or bad but timeless. Its the presentation of a game that is timeless.

Not many games can be booted up after 10years and it still looks like its indate (graphically). I loved D2 and Counterstrike 1.6 but man its dated now.

Also, in the same genre as wow, Guild Wars 2 is just about the best looking game I've played when on max settings. Outstanding.

Right here; judging from some other comments that we're not the only ones ;)

As for that quote someone posted - i guess it's meant for the general game surroundings and overall artstyle which is indeed quite gritty and steampunky (love that); the character addons are optional and not everyone has them or needs to have them, so the general Wraeclast remains just as gritty and steampunky as it was so far.

When we'll start seeing hordes of angelic mobs with bright wings and special pony levels with rainbow-colored unicorns inside, then you can start to be worried imho.
