SweetFX SHADER for PoE - Updated 2014 (Working)

Need a light?

I want to start with saying PoE is an amazing game, since PoE the only good arpg i have played was D2 and i played the living demons out of that game.

But to me PoE's shaders was too blurred, too bright and the shadows where bleak.

So i present SweetFX its a shader that works with many many games. And today we are going to merge it with PoE.

I'm running AMD HD6970, so for you Nvidia sheep i do not have an answer if this does not work.

Be sure to open PoE and choose fullscreen save and exit or this will not work.

----------------

Installation:

----------------

1. Download RadeonPro http://www.radeonpro.info/download/

2. Install RadeonPro

3. Download SweetFX shader 1.3 sweetfx.thelazy.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/SweetFX-Configurator_standalone_1.3.2.zip

4. Extract the SweetFX zip to desktop. The SweetFX shader is hard to come by so i have provided what i used a configurator, but you do not need the two files "INIFileParser.dll" or "SweetFX_config.EXE" only take the folder named SweetFX.

5. Move it to a location of your choosing, i moved it too "c:\sweetfx" for easy reach.

6. Then find a SweetFX PoE preset and download the TXT file.
Here are some links i found:
http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/63256/page/3 (here are some preset on the pages)
http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/1345/ (This is the preset i use)

7. Open RadeonPro then click Settings (small cogs icon) then on SweetFX settings tab. Click "Enable SweetFX integration" and set root location of SweetFX "c:\sweetfx" and assign an toggle key. Then hit save!

8. Now go to your PoE root directory (steam for steam users) and drag the PoE.exe into RadeonPro main window.

9. Now that SweetFX is enabled click the SweetFX tab below "global" and "profile" tabs
Then click on "Import settings" on the bottom of SweetFX tab.
Now choose your preset TXT and you will see the settings getting changed.

10. In RadeonPro hit save profile and Click play on the PoE.exe.

11. Profit!

----------------

The difference is huge, it really is converting it away from that blurry haze it has with the sharpening and making the darkness flow.

Ready to fry.

----------------

Just let the eyegasm begin.
comparison:

Ashes to ashes.

Cremate 'em.

Smells like... victory.

Stop, drop and DIE.

Items.

Home sweet home.

----------------

So hope you enjoyed it, and will keep enjoying it!

If you see me ingame im always fired up for some barbeque!

And if you are stacking too many C orbs i'll gladly help out with the problem!

[Removed by Support] It gives the game a facelift with minimal requirements, you will not notice a difference if your computer is a century old.

That looks sweet (heh). Ignore the guys with their 8 year old laptops :P Have you experienced any visual bugs with this?
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

No nothing as of yet nothing in acts and nothing with spells.

Sigh.

And yet again we can't do this with NVidia.

wow looks great,i have nvidia tho:(
By the looks of the picture this is just a sharpener. Well, maybe I am blind but in the course of the game I would not pay attention to those small details anyway. People should rather get used to turn on their shadows! :P

[Removed by Support] think its only a sharpner and did not even manage to catch the vibrance enhancement, shadow depth and light source bleedout. Before you mock it like some cheesy filter rethink your comment and look closely again or try it. This improved the overall game visuals and effects by great deal.

If you try it, i will guarantee that you wont go back :)
