Just to open up people eyes, skipping everything remotely dangerous is actually an tactic.

There's nothing forcing you to fight anything other then white monsters. Should the boss be kill-able as melee sure, but running away is still an tactical option.

Havent fought this guy but one important question:
If he's trivial to beat with a ranged build and impossible to beat as a melee, why is he in the game?
If he posed at least an interesting challenge for ranged, then i could understand it, but nobody is gaining anything here as i see it.
You get what i'm saying? Its not just the melee aspect that needs to be noted, but the ranged one as well.

If people went like
"Oh man, as a ranged guy this boss is gettin my blood PUMPIN! Best boss eva."
or
"NOOO, don't change this boss, he's so fun to fight as a ranged"
then it would be more excusible to go, "Screw the melees", but i'm not getting that vibe here.

This ain't no Piety fight. It's just a big slow skelly. What's the big idea? Dieing melees being hardcore?

People say he's the least dangerous one, he's trivial to fight?

That actually makes him being in the game worse.
Because he's no challenge either way.

Except he can oneshot you off screen(and also does more damage at longer range). Ossecati is extremely visible, easy to avoid and trivial when using any ranged ability.

Whether it's a problem for melee is entirely other issue.


The videos that were posted are illustrations of what happens when you combine a one shot mechanic with desync. To say that he is "fixed" is incorrect. He has been changed in an attempt to mitigate desync.

I believe this thread has gone off topic a little bit. Let me pose the question in another way: Is it fair to ask the PoE community to accept desync and an Invasion mob that can one shot a character from full life to dead?

Did you watch any of the videos linked? Ossecati is easy to avoid? How? By logging when you see him on your screen? Half of those kills were with him off in the distance and then, blink, he's on top of you and you're dead.
